These are the species that have risen as of 218000 ticks:

Pond Skater, a really wierd orange and yellow race with four limbs.

"Helicopter", the wierdest of the three main types, called so because of it's odd thrashing locomotion:

Feel free to experiment with these as you wish. I would be interested as to how these mostly natural species will stand up to MRDOD and LordShaithis' genetically engineered monsters

First bout of Acepacians vs Master Race:

Acepacians appear to be genetically mutated from the standard and are unable to move correctly. Master Race reaches 448 by 600 Ticks and then Critical Masses. Called off because of what appears to be a faulty sample of the "Ideal Race".

My Christmas Ninja are positively peaceful and slow herbevores compared to the parasitic Master Race. I will create a small pictoral presentation in a mine (links for size, of course) to show you the dangers of this evil, evil race. And to show how badass it is at killing everybody including itself.

Tripod has whipped Swastika, and is going up against ChristmasNinja now.

The thing with the Master Race is that it seems to go about it's business so damned intently. All swimmers want to eat and breed, but the MR wants to EAT EVERYTHING and then BREED EXPLOSIVELY. If you were to place ten MR and ten whatever at opposite ends of one big food circle, I don't think anything would last very long at all.

Edit: Tripod has whipped Swastika and ChristmasNinja for the C. Next it goes against Purple for the B. I think Tripod's luck is about to run out. Should it defeat Purple, though, it gets thrown to the Master Race.

Tripod, despite being an ugly little thing, has some spunk. Purple leapt out to a huge lead, then suffered the same population implosion that MRDOD described as being it's downfall against the Master Race. Purple ate it's circle in a hurry, but then couldn't move out of the area quickly/efficiently enough to avoid mass famine. It could still pull out the win, but right now Tripod has the lead.

Speaking of Purple, take a close look at how one moves. It does a little scissor-kick that propels it forward, then a massive forward stroke that serves no purpose and actually propels it backwards slightly. If you could eliminate the forward stroke entirely, and get it to do nothing but scissor-kick, it would be incredible.

EDIT: It's official, Tripod has defeated Purple. But like a douche, I forgot to save him. Goddamn it.

But that's the part where it looks hella cool, and that's all that matters. Now, my story:

Mort De Le Little Purple Guys:
(Major 56k Warning when clicking links)
=Orbital-level view of the contenders and their food circles.
=The good guys- Purple Race V1.221, ready to start fighting valiently against the invaders.
=Boo... Hiss... In this corner are the Master Race V1.0, evil champions of extinction and population overflow!
=The superior Purples easily breed faster than the Master Race because of their inefficient mating circle dance thing. No, don't look at the graph. We're doing better. Really.
=Purple Comrades of the world unite! To screw and eat! Party at Food Circle one!
=The evil hordes of the Master Race grow, but we will prevail. Sort of.
=The population limit is reached and the valient Purples are undermanned.
=Clearly this photo shows that the Master Race is the product of an evil, assholing intelligence. The mark of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is upon them.
=Both races ripped through their food supplies and are solid masses of flagella. Let the famine begin.
=The valiant defenders of Fortress Vaguely Square and Green begin to fall victim to the evil Master Race's siege warfare.
=The Purple are nearly dead from starving to death while the damnable Master Race never have to eat...
=Two squads of Purple Race make a valiant last stand from the evil invasion's weakest quadrant.
=The evil snakes begin to cut our forces in half. How do they breed with no food to regain energy?
=A helpful map of the very end of the Purple Race as a viable unit. Notice the "Imperialist Dogs" control half the map even at this zoom.
=Doomed! Fortress Bravo is invaded and the Imperialist Master Race consume our precious food right out of our children's mouths!
=Look at what they did to Fortress Bravo. All those dead. For what? Survival of the Master Race? They'll starve themselves anyway!
=The tragic end of the last brave Purple.
=This is the enemy. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

That was scarey. And cool.

I set up an empty double Garden of Eden. In each circle, I put 20 random swimmers. Then I let nature take it's course.

Half way through, there was a clear winner. In the right circle, a three limbed race had evolved. It took complete control of the circle and nothing else existed there. They were very energy effecient too! They hardly moved! I didn't save one, but I did mentally name them "cows".

Meanwhile, the swimmers in the left circle were dying out. There was but a handfull left, and mostly were different colours.

I thought for sure that the cows would outlast the swimmers in the left circle, and then when their food ran out, evolve to become faster.

I checked back later, and something had happened.

Out of the "dead" left circle, a race of one legged swimmers had evolved. They were fast little buggers too. In the five minutes I watched, they finished all the food that was in their circle and started to fan out to get more.

They make it over to the cows circle and ate them out of house and home. Didn't even take that long.

They had already reached the pop cap, and the food was rapidly dwindling. So a massive extinction occured. After that, I waited till they got their pop back up, then took a sample to save. Called them "Underdogs".

Next task? To put them up against LordShaithis' Master race.

They sound very similar to the MR. The game hadn't even gone on very long when the MR just sort of appeared, and promptly killed everything else in the pond. I mean I wish I could claim they were the result of some skill on my part, but no.

Okay, the MR are just vicious

My Underdogs can hold their own at the very beginning, but after that, the the MR will gain a large pop advantage. They'll keep it too.

They just eat everything. They gain pop fast too. It's withcraft. There's no food, but they'll still gain pop!

They can beat the Squiddies, but against the MR, there is just no hope.

I've currently got a pond going with two Nuala variants duking it out. RedMenace which is just Nuala after a short period of evolution and SlightlyRetardedNualaYellow which is a crossbreed between an absolutely retarded Geneered beast I made and RedMenace's Recent Ancestor. Despite it's mixed bag heritage it's still pretty decent.

redmenace pwn3d the pond so I saved it as redmenace2 and have started a new pond with it, redmenace origional, a few of the slightly retardeds, some randoms and some crappy ones I made before even redmenace. I'll give you some updates on how that's going later.

Still, the Underdogs sound interesting. Think I'll match them against the ChrsitmasNinjas.

Weird. I started another pond, and I immediately (within a few hundred ticks) spotted two individuals that looked a LOT like the MR. They had the same, one-legged locomotion, fairly good speed, and was swimming around a lot. I saved one and cloned a couple of 'em and stuck them in the pond. They got blown out of the water by this blue race with two limbs that swims with this weird, scissor-kick style. It's not even close. The scissor-kickers are horribly inefficient, two-legged beasties that are comparatively MUCH slower and don't seem to have anything going for them. Yet they won. My Master Race prototypes just don't seem to have the will to dominate that the true version has. Incidentally, I tried it out and these things are FASTER than the MR in a straight sprint.

Those would be evolving on a parallel course as my Purple Race, which means they win through sheer awesomeness. Just like the ChristmasNinja, who expend a thousand energy points to go eat a food pellet for a few hundred, yet manage to defeat the Swastikas.

Also, the one-legged design is simple and rugged (hard to mutate away, compared to the Christmas Ninja who a single gene-change will rape) but it also needs to be able to get a full range of motion with just one limb. It's hard to do that under pressure from the Awesomenesses.

How does one save a DNA strand? I've got one going that has a cool multi-colored race that survived. Though once the food dissappeared they got hit hard. They're currently on their way back from that.

Well in another quick game something interesting happened. The MR started off strong, abosolutely dominating RM3 but then RM3.5 emerged when I dragged an mutant orange MR over to their circle. It cross bred and made something with a much more efficient stroke than RM3 but with two legs and a red color unlike MR. I stopped the sim to make this post because between the two of them the pond was bare of all food and as such the pop was starting to fall for both. So here's RM 3.5, see what you can do with it.

Take one (clone it and take the clone if you want to be totally non-interfering with the environment) and place it in a test tube. Click the bottom arrow to save it.

To post it online, open the DNA thing in Notepad or similar and copy the slider numbers.
