What news story do you think is most ovrblown?
They had a bunch of news stories about the "dangers' of roller coasters this summer. They say over and over that on some, the G-forces exceed 6Gs, although they are only for a small fraction of a second. They also say it may damage your brain, when such things only happened to several dozen special cases out of the millions of people who ride such rides. Now, people are hreatening to sue, and such lawsuits would fill the pockets of greedy lawyers, and shut many rides down.

I think that the shark attack stories last year were way overblown when in actuallity there was 10 less shark attacks then in an average year which made people afraid to go into the water and talk about how they think that there was to many sharks i the water and such.

I think it is the kidnapping stories. The loss of a child is sad, but not national news. And whatever happened to Osama bin Laden?

The news chooses specific stories to fit thier bias. If the US screw up in the war on , the media reports it for a week. Tf the US makes a gain in the war, it gets little attention. If a er kills 30 in an Israeli mall, it gets a couple of days' attention. If such a thing happens to Palerstinians, the media has a field day with it.
