Skywalker Ranch is AMAZING. I got to visit it once, and it was absolutely breathtaking.

 Wow. The interior staircase, molding and paneling look amazing; those are beautiful hardwoods. I really like the foyer, the exterior porch, and the high ceilings.

Is Skywalker Ranch his personal home or the headquarters of LucasFilm?

Didn't GL actually design the place? Or was that something else?

Does it have any bottomless pits in it like there always is in all SW architecture? If not, Lucas didn't design the place. :)

Thank you, Mr. Wong!
I like that one better for looks than the gates mansion, the gates mansion looks like a log cabin on steroids, which isn't pretty.
Unfortudently, What Darth Wong found isn't the REAL Lucas ranch, But this is.

It says a lot about this group that the thing we find most drool worthy is the library. That being said, it's so damn cool.

Thanks for posting the link Mike.

Dude, don't make fun of the library. Did you SEE that thing? It was ridiculous, and it's one of the centerpieces of the Ranch.

Actually, though, the whole thing is crazy. I love the stained-glass dome.

Did you miss the "so damn cool" part or the "we"? I lust after that library.

I know, I was kidding. Seriously, though, the library isn't just what we consider to be the coolest part of the Ranch--it's the centerpiece of the whole big house. It's MEANT to be the coolest thing there, and it delivers in spades.

Both. Skywalker Ranch itself is the HQ of LucasFilm and several other of Lucas' companies. The Main House is Lucas' actual home.

Everything on the first page is of the Main House. Everything on the second page is from Skywalker Sound, also part of the Ranch. Everything on pages three and four are in San Francisco.

And I share the general sentiment that that's simply a gorgeous house.

I, too, love the library. Though it was the first picture that sold me, with two floors full of bookstands...the dome is just icing on the cake ;)
