General concensious here is about 3 Gigatons of shielding. Note that this is higher then DITL places them at.

Ummm... If I'm not mistaken DITL pegs Borg Cube shielding to 58,509,000 terajoules, so if you divided that by 4183, you'll get about 13,987 megatons, or 14 gigatons.

Ah fuck, You're right, I screwed the decimal place.

Still doesn't change the fact a single LTL shot can blow a cube to itty bitty pieces though.

Before Palpatine had all the new ships including Acclamators etc. built.

It seems that ships before this were less powerful and Acclamators (together with the ensuing Star Destroyer line) were a new level of deadly potency. For example compare the Acclamator with the Trade Federation ships, (regarded as "deadly battleships" in the pre-Palpatine era) as one instance.

It does state in EpII:ICS that there are larger more powerful ships than Acclamators available to the sector fleets of the wealthy industrial sectors. The Acclamator is after all a trans-galactic military transport, not a dedicated star-cruiser or battleship.

It is implied that the TF ships in TPM, though powerful, would be no match for the dedicated warships guarding say, the Corellian or Kuat sectors. The difference being the hyperdrive ranges, the TF ships are basically converted trans-galactic freighters.

It is safe to say the larger ships will blow away borg cubes at a greater rate than any Acclamator (and probably Imperators too).
