I am not a big mech fan but the designs on these mechs are pretty bad ass.

....

I don't think I've ever seen so many damn guns on a mech before... :wtf:

The one on tank treads ain't half bad, though. However, they all suffer excessively from high centre of gravity. IRL, a missile in the right spot, and over Mr. Gundam goes... :P
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Most of them would probably blow over from the recoil of their own guns...

Hopefully though, Chrome Hounds will have the thing that made Ring of Red so enjoyable, despite the silly premise of it's mechs, the immense satisfaction of firing those improbable guns and watching something blow up, fall over, and generally get smashed in a big, stompy, heavy metal kind of way.

(It's by the same people as Armored Core, for those that have played that one)

Ring of Red was a nice tactical mecha-RPG with it's funny uchronic mechas (one of the few that made it through to europe though)

Those may well be the most retarded armored vehicle designs I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something.

I like the 'hugely detailed geometry' approach to armour. Defence through kewlness, clearly.

Looks like emaciated Battletech chicken shit. Simply absurdly unballanced.

Elharu: I actually have seen more gun than that on mecha quite a few times. :P

I don't think I've seen very many armor designs worse than those.
They're not even really visually pleasing.

Jeez. Those are worse than any BT Design I've seen. IT's as if they took a BT design, added a few more small barrels to practically each one, and shrunk the leg thickness by half.

The term 'armored turtle on stilts' comes to mind.

Someone's got a raging hard-on for diagonally-mounted guns.

So are these West Side or East Side mechs?
