I remember once seeing a high-budget movie "Meggido" or something of the sort, which was blatant fundie propaganda. It had good FX and stuff... In the end it shows American-Mexican Army of God beating the Godless Europeans and Russians in the Battle of Armageddon. The leader of Europe and Russia (Which is called unsurprisingly World Union and spends time to feed the poor and etc...) is... uh... Antichrist and the Devil in one. He's like really rich and helps people to build a better world. I dunno why, but maybe because God is real jealous, he kills the fellow in a massive Armageddon Battle after the Antichrist proclaims himself God.
In the end G.O.D. blew up the infidels with something that looked akin to a thermonuclear blast.
That was a lot scarier for me than a loonie's preaching.
Some screens:
This guy:
- he's the Devil
- he helped a lot of people out and made hunger in Africa a memory
- he united Russia and Europe in a World Union
- his crimes are - he killed his father for his money, and he proclaimed himself God at a point in the movie...
That's it. Anti-Christ, MAN... he's scary.
Uh-oh, God's fav modus operandi - the godless WU is striken with nasty stuff. Thousands of WU people die.. (and go to Hell, yeah...)
God's ultimate weapon...
Dreaded enemy: World Union, with some Russian flags.
The WU flag is even less ambitious, it's just Red. Yeah, godless...
World Union attack God's Army... HOORAAH!
God, using the SAME FX as in "Indiana Jones", in an act of Genocide wipes out the ungodly EU and Russians.
None of the Americans are touched by God's Striking Nuke o' Doom.
Then God made a new world, a better one. A one to his liking, where no people are seen.
POTUS is the Chosen One, Chosen by GOD to lead the American Army against the Godless WU...
Fundies ask the president to SMASH the WU...
A Warrior of the Army of God.
Do people really BUY and SEE this movie, did it screen in theatres? That's hardly any better than Red Dawn, but mixed with Fundie-ism, and directed with LUNATIC hatred to the entire "anti-american" world...
