No, this just torments me. My computer doesn't have the graphics muscle to run Dawn of War.
Wouldn't be so sure about that. I ran it on 256 MB of RAM and integrated graphics; I just had to run at minimum graphics settings. Granted, my processor's 2.66 GHz, well over the stated minimum, but everything else was exactly at the stated minimum. (Now I have 512 MB of RAM, but still integrated graphics.)

I will see about downloading the demo to test this idea.

Try updating your diver. That worked for me when 1.4 acted up after installation.

Do the mods work in Single player and can you enable multiple mods?

Yeah, it runs that test, so you back up and tell it to run in safe mode. (The game's safe mode simply means that minimum graphics is the default setting, so far as I can tell.)
