Phantom Phone Calls + "Charge Complete"

For the past week or so, I've been getting some extremely bizarre phone calls. The number that shows up on my phone is "1-666-800-6" or "666-8006." Normally, I just don't answer, but lately I decided to start answering, as the calls have been occurring with increasing frequency. When I answer, there is no sound -- no noise, no breathing, nothing -- but my phone's display prints out under the number "Charge Complete."

I immediately called the phone company's emergency number, and they said that no such calls were appearing on my bill, so at least I'm not being charged any extra for these mysterious calls. Subsequently, I received two more calls last night (after calling the cell phone company), which I did not answer. This morning, I did a Google search on the number, but came up relatively empty.

The cell phone company said to call tech support on Monday, which I'll do, but in the meantime has anyone heard of anything like this? It's half-annoying, half-creepy.

Are you subscribed to any friends networks where putting in your phone number is an option or an requirement like SMS.ac? I had some problem with that shit recently as they were spamming my phone with text messages, charging me 20c/message. This may be some sort of thing deriving from that. If not, just tell your tech support to block those specific numbers.

Its what happens when you recieve a text message in a format it can't process. The 'charge complete' is your phone auto-messaging that the message was recieved. In short you got spammed by an idiot.
