You have to understand that ideology drones honestly don't understand how to debate a point because they don't understand how to debate at all. They think that debating is simply a matter of crashing their claims up against your claims and seeing whose claims win. That's why, when challenged, they will simply repeat their claims either louder or in different wordings.

They find all of this arcane talk about premises, logical conclusions, fallacies, etc to be totally incomprehensible. They don't really understand the distinction between logic and premises at all, and they think that a "logical" conclusion is simply one which feels subjectively inoffensive to them, rather than one which can be rationally deduced from known data. Conversely, they think that an "illogical" conclusion is one which offends them, regardless of how it was deduced.

So, the obvious conclusion is that everyone who supports gay rights is a victim of said "gay agenda." Moron. Science means nothing to these people. I've encountered people who openly state the following.

"When science is in conflict with the bible, science is wrong". Or "that scientific study is wrong because the bible says the opposite". They blindly accept the bible as completely accurate (that itself is amussing because the bible contradicts itself) and anything that disagrees with the bible is wrong, and often evil.

Secondly, this Ataru jackass really needs to learn how to debate instead of this whole "I WIN, YOU LOSE, DUR DUR DUR" routine of his.

Thirdly, I don't understand any of their arguements against homosexual marriage. No one's made any sort of decent arguement against it on that forum. The best arguement I've heard against it is from my cousin who said that gay marriage should be prevented because it deprives the child of a "proper" dualistic role model situation (ie, a teenage boy couldn't get proper advice on how to court the girl he likes). At the time I couldn't argue against it (still can't think of a good one against that, myself, except asking him if he supports mandatory marriages of single parents

anyone have better ammunition against that?), but at least it's a better arguement than "fuh fuh fuh, gays bad, beer good!"

Even if 16% of the original psychologists (a number I question) voted to remove it as a disease from the DSM, the fact is that in the 2000s, it's generally accepted by all psychologists to not be a mental disorder. It has to fucking qualify for one first, which it doesn't!

There's an important component to it becoming a disorder, and that's the need for it to be of harm to either themselves or to others around them. Other than retards like this, there is no reason a gay couple can't genuinely not be harmed or harm others. There is nothing wrong with being gay, except that the gay community has to deal with this shit.

I might do leave too: they say overexposure to raving idiots causes brain cancer. I've been keeping up a tremendous post-rate so far, something I won't be able to maintain without literally adversely affecting my mental health. In just one day, a thread advanced through 4 pages of utter bullshit. On the plus side, I did get to see a guy collapse into a "lame-ass 5th grade insult" after repetitive smack-downs.
