Games this month
Why must they taunt us so... Considering this month we had the following released or are about to be released
FPS
FEAR, Quake IV, Call of Duty 2, Lost Coast, Battlefront II
Strat
Civ4, Black and White 2, Age of Empires III.
Freeform/Platform
Black and White 2, Ultimate Spiderman, Shadow of the Colossus
And of course many various game mods(Of which Forgotten Hope's .7 I'm most intrested).
Feel free to mention any I left off there.
All told thats over four hundred dollers of gaming goodness(Plus your free games or your Lost coast types) that are quality games.
How oh how can one make up your mind with all these wonderful options?(Some better than others of course)
So what are you picking up from the gaming blitz?

I'm downloading the AoE demo as we speak, I'm hoping to be able to borrow a copy of B&W2 off someone back home to see if it runs on my laptop (don't think it will) and I'll probably end up buying CIV4 at some point too. The rest, not so fussed about, but might try out a few demos.

For PC: I'm tempted to buy both Rome: Barbarian Invasions and FEAR. The downside with FEAR is i'll have to buy RAM with it as wellMr Bean wrote:

Nintendo DS: Tempted to buy the new Castlevania since that's pretty much fun guaranteed
PSP: waiting for GTA: Liberty Stories. As long as I don't have to upgrade anyway since I've played more Snes roms on it than anything else
Currently downloading the long awaited Stalingrad mod for close combat5
And than there is offcourse a daily dose of Eve that has to be played ass well

Serious Sam 2 is also great fun to play (albeit not on XBos, as far as I've heard): You slaughter thousands of various monsters in a funny environment, you always know where to go next and there are no puzzles to solve. Great!

I understand. In my opinion, however, the probability of consequences due to that sole announcement is infinitesimal.phongn wrote:It is, generally speaking, not a good idea to announce to the world that you are planning on infringing copyright.nickolay1 wrote:I'll be downloading all of the FPS games in your list, with the possible exception of Lost Coast.

Wautd, Ignore the naysayers - FEAR is great fun so long as you are willing to immerse yourself in it, all my friends are enjoying it too. As people pointed out you will need that extra RAM for alot of new games regardless of if you get FEAR or not, 512mb doesn't cut it anymore for the sheer size of textures getting thrown about. Quake 4 is definately worth a look too if you get the extra RAM.
As for games I can't wait for - Civ 4 and Call of Duty 2, then later Oblivion.

You're wrong. Mods like me take specific action to prune people who draw attention to the board via proposing illegal activities on it. So don't do it.nickolay1 wrote:I understand. Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

Megaman X 1 through X 6 (the Playstation and SNES games) + a Megaman racing game never released in the U.S. (I can imagine why ).

I apologize. Please note that my reference to consequences was to actual, legal consequences -- not to those on this board.Lagmonster wrote:You're wrong.
