I think Jango is my favourite of the hero units. His pistol can double as a sniper-rifle, his qrist rockets offer a bit of offense against hard targets (I wouldn't try to take on a tank with them , but staps, AT-RTs and turrents it can handle) and his jet pack is uber-nifty, much better than the Jet troopers and Dark troopers.
Also, Greivous is shitty. Slow as fuck, no force jump and no sort of ranged attack. BLAH.
And since when did Aayla use twin sabers?
The canon status for the game is low C-level, right? BEcause that bit in the first mission, about stealing a power thingy from the Seperatists "for the Chancellors superlaser" was a bit...odd. I thought the CIS built the DS at the end of RotS at the command of Darth Sideous, why would Palps sabotage his own plan?

"We will build cities in a day!"
"Man would cower at the sight!"
"We will build towers to the heavens!"
"Man was not built for such a height!"
"We will be heroes!"
"We will BUILD heroes!"

you can get Jango's pistol if you get the pistol-kills medal.
Very useful on the space-battle missions, as the Pilot class gets a huge power boost. Oh, and that spiffy 3-round burst is enough to kill any infantry unit if you get a headshot.
I also like the shotgun upgrade and the blaster rifle upgrade. When playing galactic conquest, buy the blaster damage upgrade bonus, then get either the elite pistol, flechette shotgun, or elite rifle, and you'll be mowing down your opponents like nobody's buisness.

Okay I got a chance to play that mission at a friend's.. I think they said it was a Mygeetan thing not CIS so it could be something the CIS were there to steal to..Manus Celer Dei wrote: The canon status for the game is low C-level, right? Of course we also know from other sources that there are other superlaser platforms besides DS's.
OTOH, (I do not know if this has been covered before) But the game does give a definitive reason that I don't think was stated anywhere before why the emporer discontinued the clone program as it existed during the clone wars. Thus putting to rest the question of "Are all stormtroopers clones?" (As if the height difference wasn't enough.)

use the clone engineer's shotgun and catch em in the back or in the face while they do their force-jump.The Original Nex wrote:GAH! I keep getting hung up on the Knightfall level!! Damn Jedi Masters!!
Or, if your still playing as Anakin, keep some distance and make generous use of your saber-throw.

the republic has a DS program also though it's not as well known as it's CIS equilevant.Manus Celer Dei wrote:The canon status for the game is low C-level, right? I may be an idiot, but I'm a tolerated idiot

I was able to take em down with an officer. The high ROF of the chaingun is perfect for taking down Jedi. just make sure you get a bead on em, then, get their attention with a quick burst, then, as they're running at you blocking (As they invaribaly do), lay on the trigger. They can't saber block forever, and once their block goes down....big ba da boom (Dead Jedi)Matt Huang wrote:use the clone engineer's shotgun and catch em in the back or in the face while they do their force-jump.The Original Nex wrote:GAH! (That's how I took em out the first time. The second time, it was with Anakin going pure offense just wild swinging.)
SPOILER:
Just wait until you guys get to play as Darth vader in the cramed hallways of the Tantive IV. The enemies are THICK in there. You'll never die (Since killing enemies gives you a life boost.) and vader doesn't bother with running, oh no, that badass motherfucker either walks or FLIES. That's right. Flies. You'll see.

CIS had plans for the Death Star in Episode 2, not 3. Dooku took the plans from them and handed them to Sidious at the end of AotC. By the end of RotS, the CIS was out of business. The canon status for the game is low C-level, right? For the glory of Gondor, I sack this here concession stand!
the career medals are stored in your profile, not your current campaign. So any medals and associated bonuses you got in the single player campaign will carry over into galactic conquest or a new campaign.nickolay1 wrote:Thanks for the info, Matt. I was also wondering, when I finally do get those 384 kills with a pistol, will I be able to go back to the start of the game and play with the bonus applied?

Anyone else think heroes are pretty weak? Whenever I got the Jedi on the Clone Wars missions, I'd just end up going down to massed gunfire from all directions. Vader in particular was pretty pathetic, after I whacked two of the Jedi Masters with Force choke some random padawan just ran up and instakilled me with a saber.

Has anyone figured out if there's a way to mix and match armies, that is, pit the rebels against the seps, clonetroopers against stormies, and the like?
When I was at Star Wars Celebration III a Lucasarts rep strongly implied that it would be possible in this game, but I can't seem to find a way to pull it off, so it might have been cut

And this is why you don't watch anything produced by Ronald D. Moore after he had his brain surgically removed and replaced with a bag of elephant semen.-Gramzamber, on why Caprica sucks

In the campaign, one mission has Stormtrooper vs. droids, and another Stormies vs. Clones.Darksider wrote:Has anyone figured out if there's a way to mix and match armies, that is, pit the rebels against the seps, clonetroopers against stormies, and the like?
