With the new series on the air, and the release of the Series to DVD, this plot idea just continues to nibble at my mind.
Pretty much, the story would revolve around Kolchak's bungling (and new assistant, since he's getting old) around a CSI case with bizzare circumsatances. The question I have is to what the case would be.
I've thought about having it revolve around the murders of a Cthulhu Cultist or Misquided Satanist--since CSI is all about weird subcultures.
Another idea would be to resurrect an old Kolchak foe. Part of me wants to use the cheesy subterrainian crocodile in the episode "The Sentry." But...what other creatures could make a return that the fans of old Kolchak would actually like to see?
