PS2 Resident Evil 4

Post by Equinox2003 »

Is it me, or the game harder than on the GameCube? I own the GC version and played the PS2 version this weekend. I spent the
whole time with my Leon having next to no ammo, and grabbing his
side in pain (low HP)
I finished the game many times in the GC, and maybe I'm just doing it
wrong. Anybody else have this situation?

Can't say I've heard of any difficulty differences. Aside from slightly less impressive graphics and some extra niceties, it's a straight port last I checked.

For those of you who have a PS2 and haven't played this yet, this game rocks. I've never liked the survival horror genre at all and I LOVE this game. Best $40 I've spent on gaming in years. Buy it!

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

I don't know about you, but the reason I much preferred RE4 to the earlier entries in the series is that it's *you* going into this area to rescue the President's daughter. You're not trapped in a city or a mansion/installation; it's not a survival horror game, it's a hunt-the-monsters game.

And I loooove hunting monsters...

I love the game(despite is venonmous lack of my beloved zombies) because its controls where awful. I think every RE game should be remade with these controls so as to make the entire series even greater.

RE4's controls are awful? I think the controls are very tight, and for once in a 3D action game the camera angles aren't a total fucking disaster.

Wow. Big mistake there. It was suppose to be weren't awful. I think that should of been apparent since I was talking about why I loved the game, and that I thought the rest of the games should have its control style, but I guess that could of come off as sarcasm.

Does Leon have some sort of giant energy gun in the PS2 version? I have a picture of him blating the Spainish with a lance of blue death.

IIRC it's a new weapon for the PS2 version. Does something like rip the parasite out or some such (from what I hear it even drops those damn things you had to use the thermal goggles to play 'spot the squirmy thing' )
