Can't see my Wireless Network.

Ok, here's what happened. I decided to fiddle with the Wireless Setup Wizard creating a new SSID etc for my Linksys. Now it seemed to have worked except it wouldn't connect to the internet so I tried again and now it doesn't show up even though it says there's the existing network connection I just made at the setup screen but it doesn't appear on the list of wireless networks. I restarted my computer to see if that was the problem but that wasn't it neither was unplugging the router or shutting off my wireless adaptor.

I have no clue what to do. I can still connect through cable on the router but I really need the wireless back.

Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with Speedbooster if that helps.

heh, I've got the same router, only w/o the speedbooster crap. (WRT54G v5)

Here's how I set mine up:

Basic Wireless Settings:
If all your wireless devices are G, set your network mode to "G-only" Set your SSID to whatever you like. Do this BEFORE you connect your clients. This will save you headaches later. You can change channels if you like, but I'd leave it at the default channel (6) if you're not having any problems. Click the Save Settings button.

Wireless Security:
Security Mode: WPA Personal I recommend this setting if your devices support WPA. This makes it all the harder for others to tap in.
WPA Algorithms: I personally use AES, but you can use TKIP if you like. Just as long as all the clients support the algorythim you use.
WPA Shared Key: Make a key no shorter than eight characters. I've got mine set to sixteen characters, just for overkill. Make sure its a good strong password (letters and characters).
Group Key Renewal: Leave it at the default setting. Click the Save Settings button.

You can now connect your clients. Make sure the signal strength is reasonably good before continuing.

Wireless MAC Filter: I recommend you enable this functionality. Set it to "Permit Only. Cliok the "Edit MAC Filter List" button. This table will be blank by default. You don't have to type in a single thing. Click the "Wireless Client MAC List" button. Your clients will show up here. Check the boxes next to them and click the "Update Filter List" button. Then click on Close. Click the "Save Settings" button at the bottom of the "MAC Address Filter List" window. This will actually commit the changes you've made.

If that's from 192.196.0.0. I can't access that. Neither from the cd as I do not know the campus ISP IP and DNS address It was my brother who set the thing up in the first place and I don't know how he did it.

Isn't it nice too that I left the manual at home?

Default IP is 192.168.1.1

Are you using Windows XP?

Disable your Wireless Zero Point service use the manufacturer's software.

I thought it was 192.168.0.1, that's the one for my router.

Come to think of it, my mother had that problem to. I had to go into the settings for the wireless config and delete all the ssid listings. Then it'd pick up the router and connect perfectly.
