Stormies and bullseyes some spoilers

Post by Tychu »

Im posting this to put the debate at rest.....actually in thinking im probally going to start some new ones

In the new game BattleFront II we follow the 501st CloneTrooper/Stormtrooper) squad

now in their journels we learn that they are the original Storm Troopers. "We've got new armor and cooler weapons" Ok now figuring on that your the same Trooper (the log voice, tone and attitude is the same)(theres cannocal proof that clones usually develop their own attitudes and thinking) ...

Ive found that the trooper shoots like Sith ( :) ) when hes using the "cooler" stormie battle rifle compared to the one he had as a member of the elite 501st Clone Trooper squad

now heres another point. This can all be a result of 1) The Gun (above)
2) The sight and Armor causing empedments
3) The troopers are older and with the accelerated aging
Battle of Geonosis 20 years (10 Years old)
Battle of Coruscant ~26 years (13 years old)
Battle of Yavin ~52 years (33 years old)
"Boring Conversation anyway" Han Solo

I personally prefer the Ep 3 clone armor. It just looks cooler, and provides better coverage than the others.

Episode III clone armor- the episode II helmet sucked, but the E3 helmet was perfect. It just looks awesome. Stormtroopers is of course second.

Episode 3/CW armour, CloneT white rather than that patheric STormtrooper white, makes it much better :P

EDIT: Scratch that, didn't see the mandalorians, Originals are best but what are Deaths head M's?

Episode III CT armor was, for me, the perfect variety. A very nice balance between EpII clone armor and stormtrooper armor.

I always liked sith solider armor from KOTOR and Mandlores armor from KOTOR 2.

Ep. 3 clone armor takes it for me, especially Galactic Marine gear. Boba Fett's brand of armor takes second though. I always really liked the design.

Hm... Episode three clone trooper armour. it seems the most threatning, and just... cool.... since I didn't know any of the madalorian armour (I should get out more) second is stormie.

I was underwhelmed by the Ep II Clone armor. I've grown more fond of it over time, but I couldn't imagine anything being able to top the OT Stormtrooper armor.

The Episode III Clonetroopers prove my imagination to be sorely lacking.

I like the Fett style armor. The main reason is functionality. With all of the little gizmos (love that word) he has hidden in it, it just seems that it would be far more useful.

Question: Does the jetpack count as part of the armor?

The Ep. 3 troopers were the best off, as they had at least a semblance of camoflage. (sp?) The solid white stormy armor seems like it would be less usefull in a combat environ that is anything but snow.

For the coolness factor I vote Mandalorian, Fett style

And what the heck are Death Head Mandolorians :?:

I'm going with the Episode II armor.

However, my personal favorite is still the specialized armor for the Clone Commandos. That stuff is sweet.

Ep III featured the most diverse armor. And also the most practical. They actually featured camo. Of course, their spacesuits for the fighter pilots were a bit lacking. The OT TIE pilots are still the best in that department.

Well, the downshot to the camo was the diverse and decorative color schems the various legions used when they weren't on a camo world- heck, even Bacara's Galactic Marines wore red at Mygeeto.

As for the spacesuits, why are they lacking? I thought there's a clear visor over the helmet, which would explain those two airhoses leading to the helmet, no?

Without the option to choose the Clone Commando (SW:Republic Commando) armour, I'm going Ep3.

I still wonder about that damn unique Clonetrooper type we see in Obi-Wan's legion on Utapau, with the unique un-Clone helmet and the ARC-trooper type half-skirt, but none of the extras (the shoulder pads and extra ammo).

Some sort of Lieutenant. That's what people refer to his rank as, anyways. No actual info is known.

But we need an action figure of him.

My favorite is definately the Ep.3 clone armour. It looks far more menacing than the Ep.2 or Stormie armour. And the diverity in colour schemes just makes me like it more.

I can't believe they don't have a Commander Cody or a "Lieutenant" toy yet. Luckily I found a Clone Commander action figure (along with an AT-TE driver and AT-RT pilot) at Toys R Us when I was in New York.

Cody and an Utapu Clone (just a normal clone in Cody's battallion scheme) are both scheduled for the upcoming SAGA collection next year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I could tell, the face shield only covered about half of the face.

Bah. Shame. I can't justify buying toys in another collection, the RotS one was it. Who knows, maybe my lack of self-control will get the better of me, but there aren't many good Toys R Us stores in Sydney- none which have the selection or range in NYC anyway ...

I think (though there's no way to tell) that there's a transparent glass face shield over the orange-tinted eye pieces- otherwise the hoses leading from his chest unit to his helmet serve no purpose as far as I know, unlike the TIE Fighter helmet. The RotS:VD labels them as "air supply hoses" so it makes sense- or there's no glass there and it only snaps in place upon ejection?

They could be equipped with the enviormental force fields Rebel pilot outfits use when in vacuum.
