Who is the better demon hunter?

Okay I know Ash Strictly speaking isn't a fulltime demon hunter...but you gotta love Bruce Campbell...

Buffy...Im not a big fan...wonder if she'll give Ash some sugar, baby...

I got that Army of Darkness double DVD thingy & haven't watched anything else since...

Mind you, out of the two endings for the film (the one where he gets home &the one where he oversleeps) I think the S-Mart one is the best...its hideously over the top & simply brilliant!!

Buffy gets sliced and diced. Then, Blade wins thanks to his better swordfighting ability, although he walks away with an injury from Ash's shotgun.

Blade. Just damn bad ass. He doesn't fuck around.

Ash. He can take inhuman amounts of abuse and get up and fight. And got the attitude. And he can do quite well for a normal, well mostly normal human.

Buffy. Strong, but not as disciplined and good as Blade and not to the same level as Ash. Also, the one that doesn't use guns, a pretty stupid mistake.

I don't think any character has more character shields than he. I mean he's been possessed 3 times, one of them he had to cut his own hand off. He constantly gets the shit beat out of him, but he never dies.

Ash is the hero/poor sod from the Evil Dead films, he has been forced to fight against the forces of Evil, using a shot gun and a chainsaw hand...

Ash and Blade would own Buffy. They don't even have to fight, just look at her with "the look" and she would just be owned. As for Ash vs Blade, I give it to Ash just because luck (of some sort anyways) seems to favor Ash.

My god how is it Marvel can't make a decent Punisher yet produces a decent 10th rung hero movie...oh wait that's because they gave it to someone to write

Well Ash has the infamous Sam Raimi 73 Oldsmobile...which has been in all of his films, except the quick & the dead...

Sooo Blade has the better car...but Ash has the better lines...

I hear that the Punisher was one of the character picked up a couple of months ago for movie deals when Marvel dished out a couple like Daredevil, Hulk and a handful of others. Lets hope its kick ass.

Isnt Hellboy being made? Ron Pearlman is supposed to be Hellboy. I think it's Del Toro directing but im not sure. I saw this in an article a couple months ago.

Lets see.

Ash - Has Chainsaw, Boomstick and an Attitude
Blade - Movie - all the strengths of a Vampire, none of their weaknsesses. Comics - Immunity to Vampire Bites
Buffy - Chi-based Powers (2.5 ton deadlift)

Outcome:

Hand-to-hand - Buffy schools these boys (Until Ash socks her with his metal hand...then she'd be pissed)

Armed - Feel the wrath of the boomstick!

Why does everyone underestimate Buffy? Answer - their supposed to, then she can catch them off guard with her insane strenght and Character Sheild. That's how Slayer's Work.

Umm you do know that Blade probably can lift more Buffy(I mean if we take the character...are we talking only one incarnation or the two combined?).

That and he has shown greater agility than Buffy.

Seriously he has a far greater arsenal than Ash by a long shot and buffy is hand to hand at best.

She really doesn't stand that much of a chance, barring chracter shields.

Following their victory, King was cured of his vampirism. Subsequently, he and Blade formed a private-investigation firm.

The mother of all demons, Lilith, hired Blade's agency to kill Ghost Rider -- the leather-clad, motorcycle-riding Spirit of Vengeance -- and bad-boy John Blaze, the fiery skeleton's former host. After a protracted battle, Blade and company realized they had been duped. The team joined with Ghost Rider and Blaze against Lilith, battling her monstrous minion Meatmarket. Blade, Drake and King continued their partnership with Ghost Rider and Blaze. Along with Dr. Strange, Morbius the Living Vampire and the Darkhold Redeemers, they formed the Midnight Sons, a group dedicated to preserving the boundaries between our world and the dark realms. The Midnight Sons clashed with Lilith and her demonspawn, Lilin, in a supernatural contest with Earth as the prize. The Midnight Sons proved victorious, destroying Lilith and her brood.

However, the team was unable to prevent its hated quarry, the vampire, from returning to the Earth realm. Blade, Drake and King, who again had become afflicted with vampirism, began their crusade anew to cleanse the world of all bloodsuckers. Blade and his partners clashed with dread lord Varnae -- supposedly the first vampire, the demon who had visited this hellish curse upon men. King and Drake were slain in a bloody and futile battle. The loss of his compatriots only strengthened Blade's resolve to rid the world of vampires, regardless of the circumstances of their creation.

As a result, Blade is immune to the supernatural effects of vampire bites: a vampire's bite would cause him no more ill effects than a similar injury caused by other means. It is unclear whether or not Blade is immune to being hypnotized by a vampire through eye contact.

Other Abilities: Blade is a master in the use of small bladed weapons and can hurl knives with great accuracy. He is also a good hand-to-hand combatant.

Weapons: Blade's favorite weapons are small knives made of teak wood. He could slay a vampire by peircing his or her heart with a wooden blade.

Movie blade says "He has all of the strengths of a Vampire"

It also seems that older Vamps loose almost all their physical strength as they age in Blade's world.

From what I remember of Blade 2, he was able to Flip about 30ft in the air. 5 feet beter than Buffy's best jump.

However, Blade would likely make the stupid mistake of underestimating Buffy

Outcome - Blade will likely win, but their is at least a 40% chance of him losing to Buffy.

Note: WHy is Movie-Blade overpumped...they have the budget to do it!

Buffy would be as pumped (well, maybe) if she had that budget. -- in the original shooting script for the first Episode of Buffy, a scene where Buffy jumps, through a second story window had to be cut because of Budget constraints.

That show is produced for less than you might think.

Buffy's Greatest foes include: a Master Vamp, a Pure Demon, a Cyber-demonoid-doomsday-like Monster, other Slayers, a fallen God, an uber-strong witch, the FIRST EVIL

Blade: The Blood God, the Reavers

Ash: Deadites and the Necronomicon.

Buffy is obviously the better demon hunter, by foe-count alone

Why would he make the mistake?

A trained warrior never does...an opponent is an opponent.

I mean take my uncle, he's 70 but he'd probably kick most of the posters asses here...especially if any presume he's an old man thus weak.

You think in hand to hand any of the trainsed person here are going to think "Pfft Old man...no sweat."

That is a conceit of the the hightest order and gets morons killed, so unless you have proof that for some reason a trained killer such as Blade is going to look at Buffy and not just outright shot her or in hand to hand not literally slice her down the groin, please don't make the assumption he's going to underestimate her because she's a chick.
