Star Trek V was much better than Insurrection, unless one goes on eyecandy alone.
Well, that assure's it's demise: Isn't that close to when "The Two Towers" comes out? I know which one I'M plunking money down for....
Honestly, would you have even paid to see Nemesis if Two Towers weren't coming out?

I fail to see how the majority of movie audiences cannot afford to see more than one movie per month, considering that matinee shows are about the price of a fast-food meal.

My personal dreadful suspicion is that it's *just another* action movie titled Star Trek, and that the entire TNG film franchise will have been a complete and total failure as any kind of a serious piece of work.

Consider:
Generations simply has too many logic problems overshadowing it.
First Contact was brainless action; a "popcorn movie" as Ron Moore called it.
Insurrection was the same, only the action wasn't as good.
What will Nemesis be? I hope it's good. But I won't get my hopes up.

Addendum: Also consider that Nemesis is being released on Friday the 13th. I don't think that bodes well.

Really?? I thought Insurrection was way way worse. Anything B&B sucks in my eyes. Certain aspect of First Contact pissed me off and insulted my intelligence and I liked it.
