Wonder what would happen if I plugged in a USB Mouse into a 360...

I know there are adapters one can buy to use XBox controllers as gaming pads on PCs.

Some people think the controller offers superior control over the mouse and keyboard. This is ofcourse quite false. I can understand those who are more comfortable with a controller while playing FPS games due to experience and comfort from having used one for an extended period of time (thats what makes using a controller difficult for mouse\keyboard players), but outright calling the controller better is false.

Yes, we do, in fact, exist. Though as Alyeska already said the mouse and keyboard are far superior in most cases.

I love the X-box controller for a great many games.

But, for FPS games, keyboard and mouse are unbeatable.

And for sport games (especially Madden) the PS2 style controller wins out (more shoulder buttons).

For a gamepad it is great. Mouse +keyboard is unbeatable for some game genres, but gamepad just works so much better in others.

I like the Logitech XBox controller, and the XBox 360 controller, when it comes to consoles. But the original XBox controller? Penny Arcade says it best.

Very true. As to the controller itself, I think its one of the better designed controller's I've ever used. Certainly, it looks ungainly, but its comfortable to hold for extended periods, and the interface works fine.

The original X-Box controller was made for marathon gaming sessions. Its size means that your hands have the controller sit in them, rather than having to grasp it (which cramps your hands up after an hour or so).

A friend of mine thinks the orignal controllers are the best, he complains now and then about how he can't find them anymore.

I own 2 PS2 -> Xbox converters, and I'd probably own 4 if GGIsuka wasn't on PS2.
