Ipod help?

Post by Dorenn Stark »

Ok, I got an Ipod last night, but I'm having a problem with it. I have several MP3 cds and a few MP3 DVDs. These carry many thousand MP3
files and were the reason I got an Ipod, to have portable access to them.]
Now I get the Ipod (after being assured at the store that "If I can play it in my computer I can play it on an Ipod" who knows maybe that's true)
So I insert my MP3 CDs and DVDs and Itunes does not 'see' them. I tunes does not react in any way at all. All that happens is I get a prompt
asking if I want to play it using windows media player. Can anybody help?
How many fanboys does it take to change a lightbulb? 10. One to change it and the other nine to complain how much better the old one was.

Open the CD in My Computer so you see all the MP3 files listed, select all, and click and drag them in to iTunes.

I don't know why iTunes wouldn't read an MP3 CD (since you can burn them) but I know that when you drag-and-drop an MP3 file into iTunes it always works, so I figure that should do it :)
