They do have an action figure of him. Its a trooper builder set tjat I almost bought. I think all the troopers were 501st troopers in that set.DPDarkPrimus wrote:Some sort of Lieutenant. That's what people refer to his rank as, anyways. No actual info is known.Vympel wrote:I still wonder about that damn unique Clonetrooper type we see in Obi-Wan's legion on Utapau, with the unique un-Clone helmet and the ARC-trooper type half-skirt, but none of the extras (the shoulder pads and extra ammo).
But we need an action figure of him.

Its the ones that apear in Jango Fett Open Season the ones that are in the faction who wanted to kill Jango Fett and Jaster

I always liked the Snowtrooper from "Empire Strikes Back". When I was little, I didnt think of them as actual Snowtroopers, but as Vader's Peronal Guard, cause they looked so badass. But still, I think they look pretty damn cool

See, the Rebel pilot outfits were depicted as having an extra "full face closure" thing that (I guess we assume) snaps into place upon ejection (or can be manually put up, as Luke has it when he's out fixing his X-Wing... even though that's R2's job!) in some comic I remember reading (was it one of those "Classic Star Wars" marvel collections?).
But then we learn they have these crapply shield bubbles instead (Star Trek TAS anyone?).
The Clone pilot does indeed appear to have an open faced helmet (with just some sungoggles covering his eyes. What's the point of those air hoses? Do they just blow oxygen in his face?
Perhaps you're right, perhaps they snap in place upon ejection like the comic Rebel pilot helmet. But I wonder what's the point.. why not just have it closed?
Answer: because they want to see the actor's face. It's just like in those movies about fighter pilots and they always keep their mask off so you can see the actor (but the "bad guys" get to wear masks to make them faceless and mysterious).

fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1

One thing I want to know is what the DC-17 pistols of the Clone Commandos look like. We can only see the grip and the back of the gun from its place in the holster.

the commandos used a DC15s Pistol, like dis.Vympel wrote:One thing I want to know is what the DC-17 pistols of the Clone Commandos look like. We can only see the grip and the back of the gun from its place in the holster.
probably different from the arc-trooper/clone commander pistols, which I haven't seen much reference for.
That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks. The VD says DC-17 close combat pistol or something similar, but probably meant DC-15. But it looks like a *dead ringer* for what we see Commander Bly carrying in his holsters, for example.

Too bad in game they don't really have 999 ammo.
The abilities of the weapons in RC change drastically between MP and SP!

Yeah the DC-17m can't possibly fit into Bly's two holsters.

I'm torn between the armor of storm troopers and the elite clones featured in Republic Commando. The former is likely more advanced than the standard clone armor, but the latter does appear to have regenerative shields, so it's fairly difficult to compare the two. For example, we see stormies going down from a single shot in the movies. However, in Republic commando, the elite clones are far tougher. However, this is most certainly a result of game mechanics (for instance, in battlefront 2, the super battle droid is trivial to kill with any weapon, while in republic commando, they were one of the toughest enemies in the game).

Actually, I like Scout Trooper armor myself, but among the choices given, yeah, Ep. III armor was the best.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

The Clone Troopers on Kashyyyk who had helmets that looked like the Scout Troopers (they've got a macrobinoculars over their eyes or something) look cool. In green camo, too.
Btw, apparently the DC-17 and DC-17m are completely, totally different. The DC-17 is a heavy blaster pistol, whereas the DC-17m is that modular rifle thingy.
The DC-17 is what you see being wielded akimbo by certain Clone Commanders in the Clone Wars series, whereas the DC-17m is what the Commandos are using as their primary weapon.

Fett's Mandalorian armor, because of all the integral weapons, but if I could, I'd have a customized set of Episode III clonetrooper armor-- more coverage-- with the weapons from Mandalorian armor. I believe something similar was in the 'Revenge of the Sith' video game-- a clonetrooper whose heavy armor has integral booster rockets and flamethrowers.
Please do not make Americans fight giant monsters.
Those gun nuts do not understand the meaning of "overkill," and will simply use weapon after weapon of mass destruction (WMD) until the monster is dead, or until they run out of weapons.
They have more WMD than there are monsters for us to fight. (More insanity here.)

Maybe, but seriously, who would you rather be, the armored trooper using his flamethrowers to mow down enemy soldiers/droids with minimum fear of getting a taste of his own medicine, thanks to the protection offered by his heavy armor, or the unfortunate soldier/droid who has to deal with the blaze trooper?Manus Celer Dei wrote:"Blaze Troopers".
