While Janeway's gravelly smoker's voice is less than attractive, there are many women much uglier than her - the way some people talk about her you'd think she was some sort of harpy.

Personally, I always thought Kira was far more attractive. For that matter, I actually thought she was more attractive than any of the other women on the show, such as Dax. For one thing, she didn't have that haughty "I'm a model and you're scum" way of carrying herself, and she also had a perky walk. Yes, I place great emphasis on how a woman walks.
I'm gonna' have to disagree with the second part, i think T'Pol looked the hottest of the ST chicks. Seven comes in next, and third whoever that asian woman was from Enterprise (forget the character's name) she was hot to me, quite.

But as for the part about Troi, truer words were never spoken. Who the hell thought this broad looked hot enough to wear a catsuit, Gene Roddenberry? Shatner? Someone old i imagine. 'Sex-appeal' my ass...no seriously, i mean my ass is more appealing. I always found her not attractive and some of my fellow geek friends thought she was SO FRIGGIN' HAWT and i felt like the odd geek out.

You put the right girl in the TOS mini-skirt and I'd get turned on.

Personally, though I detest the character, I thought Ezri Dax was pretty cute.

That'd be Hoshi Sato.

Actually, according to Memory Alpha's Natasha Yar article, Denise Crosby auditioned for the role of Deanna Troi, but then Gene Roddenberry that Martina Sirtis would be better as Troi and Crosby better as Tasha Yar...

So if nothing else, Gene Roddenberry metaphorically put Sirtis into Troi, if not Troi into the catsuit...

Really? I got a very down to Earth vibe from Dax that seemed to carry over into her character on Becker. I don't know, Kira always struck me as a chip-on-her-shoulder stuck up bitch.
The Kira character was often written to be a cast-iron bitch, but I just got the vibe that she would be up for interesting sex, whereas Dax would not be. What can I say, it's just a feeling. And as I said, there was a certain bounce in her walk that I really liked. I suppose the bad writing in DS9 made me unable to identify the actress with the character, because Kira's personality defects don't bother me. When the writing and acting are better, you tend to think of the person onsceen as an actual person, and not just an actress going through the motions. I think Kira's character was so obviously manufactured as a collage of archetypes that I just couldn't take it seriously.

I'm not too sure about that. After all, we do see Dax loving the rough Klingon sex in one episode.

I liked the Vulcan chick from Enterprise. Her clothes and hair were stupid, but the actress herself had sex appeal. Plus she was the only cast member to publicly exclaim how much the writing on Enterprise sucked. You have to like that honesty.

In the mirror universe episode, they put her in the TOS miniskirt uniform with her hair down. Very droolworthy.

Meh.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't 'zomg internet male' talk, I think Jolene can look quite lovely. I just don't think Enterprise ever got it right.

They had a mirror-universe episode on Enterprise? What was the plot?

Speaking of the mirror universe...

I know I'll probably get skewered for being a TOS nostagilist for this one, but my favorite ST babe was Marlena Moreau, the captain's woman from the TOS episode "Mirror, Mirror". My god, she was smokin'.

The Imperial Starship Enterprise is hijacked by her first officer, Commander Archer, to look for a mysterious, highly advanced vessel found adrift by the Tholian Assembly. Archer plans to use this vessel to deal a crushing blow to the Rebellion that threatens the Empire and usurp the throne, that is, if his crew doesn't stab him in the back first.

I thought for a moment I was the only one who felt Kira looked better than Dax, especially when they changed her season one haircut.

In terms of TOS women, I thought

1) the actress who played Elizabeth Dener (where no man has gone before) looked hot

2) Kirk's ex girlfriend who was prosecuting him in that season one episode where Kirk gets court martialed

3) McCoy's assistant with a psych qualification who beamed down with Kirk to the prison planet Tantalus (can't remember the episode name).

In TNG strangely I found Elizabeth Denehy (who played Shelby in the BOBW) attractive. Must be the way she told that dork Riker to get out of her way.

And you reminded my why I like TOS - Best. Uniforms. Ever.

Ironically, while I still could watch Star Trek, I never found any of the Trek women all that attractive. Admittedly I was fairly yound back then, thouh I distinctly enjoying scenes of female nudity at a young age, so I don't think that had anything to do with it.

I liked Beverly Crusher, actually ever since that episode when she just pulls a little bit down.

Other than that most of them were rather slutty, Kira maybe.

I don't think that it's because Star Trek uniforms increase sexiness; I think it's because their other costume designs just sucked so bad.

I always found the Star Trek uniforms bland, unappetizing, and unappealing. And though I never thought of it quite like that, they're unsexy too. Major turn off.

I personally liked both of the Daxes, but Kira was good too.
I do kind of like the whole uniform thing, though it depends on the lady if it makes her hotter or not.
