Post by Isolder74 »

A few pictures of vaders bones in Jedi. The cybernettics have been changed since Sith.

Here we see all the bones of his body highlighted and you can make out that his entire left arm in now arificial

Her we can see better that he has an artificial shoulder

The infamous neck shot

Image

We can see his artificial right arm here. Is extends as far as his elbow that we can see

Also note that most of the lighting is going directly into the back of Vader's neck

Actually nothing has been changed: Vader's insides have been the same since 1983.

Umm... your pictures are taking *forever* to load... check your photobucket account?

EDIT: Never mind, they show up fine now. Intarweb was lagging somethin' fierce earlier, no idea why.

Watch Sith again. his left arm is attached halfway up when they put it on.

The right arm is his original Dooku damage. Its not inconceivable that the rest of his bones in his arm had to be replaced at some later date.

Yes, I know that. Actually, it's my mistake, since I thought you meant that they since altered the video of RotJ in light of RotS. Ignore my statement.

It's very probably as he continued the Jedi purge, he recieved more injuries that required cyberknetic replacements.

Case in point, remember, luke got in a good shot on his left shoulder in Empire, not enough to do serious damage, but imagine if it had been someone of Kenobi's skill, or another of the good duelists that had hit him.

Also, in A New Hope, he does get 'rammed' partially by a Tie Fighter, it's possible when his ship was getting tossed around, something happened to him that required more medical attention and implants later.

(Especially if you take the comics at value, and Vader spent a month in the fighter cause the hyperdrive was shot)

Isn't the Emperor supposed to have removed one of Vader's arms as a punishment? Was it in SotE they said that?

No, one of the Thrawn Trilogy books; Mara Jade makes a comment about Vader's failure at Bespin being the reason he lost his right hand. Since this is obviously not the case, one presumes she was either trying to rattle Luke's cage or had gotten an altered version of the events from Palpatine. Who knows, she might've been going off Imperial gossip as well...

That was for the failure of the Death Star, not Bespin.

Right. Mea culpa. I knew it was for a failure of Vader's involving Luke, though...
