Well, it wouldnt of turned into that if people hadnt began with the name calling, I didnt intend for it to turn out that way, and I would of kept the debate civil, but instead I had people calling me a moron and bashing my points, notice I dont do that to anyone until they all begin to try to talk shit
I'd say it's reasonable to say that low-end Superman might get beaten by a Jedi, but I'd agree that high-end Superman is absurdly powerful and would not.
It depends on low end, the superman who couldnt fly, barely could take bullets, etc? yeah, he'd lose

All right. Suppose you anticipate the Flash's every move and hold your lightsaber out into the path the Force told you he would take. It doesn't work. The Flash sees your lightsaber and avoids it because it's motionless relative to him. He changes his path. Your vision has been falsified because the Flash changed his path based on where he saw your lightsaber.

I'd also argue that even high-end Superman would probably get killed by a superlaser blast. The intensity of such a blast exceeds that found at the core of the Sun by many orders of magnitude.

It doesn't matter if you begin before the Flash even thinks of attacking you. He is too fast for your body to ever react to in time.
Of course I can react in time, if I start before he thinks of it. Let me use math on your stunted cranial capacity:

T-Minus 6 seconds: I start an action that will take six seconds to defend against what I know Flash will be doing then.

T-Minus Some Ridiculous Fraction Of A Second: Flash thinks of something and tries it, finding his fist hitting my lightsaber and burning off.
Your proof that Precog doesn't take this into effect? Here's a big hint: You'll never find such proof. It don't exist.

Flash must be intangible in movement anyway, so it really doesn't make sense that he can hit people and do any harm while moving at high speed. If he wasn't intangible, then he would create a plasma shockwave whenever he moved through atmosphere. His ability to hit people must be caused by something other than physical impact; maybe some kind of telekinesis even if he doesn't realize it.

Perhaps it would be better if you tried to address the points people have made (yes, more than one person have made clear, concise points, despite your claims otherwise.) Heck, even I attempted to, but after it became clear you weren't actually going to try and address them, at least not reasonably, I let myself indulge a bit.

By the way, Eframe, your quoting method/button seems to be messed up.

Except that was a point, you fucktarded asshole, which you failed to rebut, because you weren't smart enough to address it in the first place without distorting it.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

I have specifically instructed you about the appropriate forum to make Superman-based arguments and where to take it up with those you accused of being ignorant. You failed. When confronted, you lie. Big surprise.

That would be because the ability to react before your opponent even thinks of an attack? Pretty much a game-winner. Of course, that you claim this isn't an argument proves you simply don't have a clue what debating is like.

Eframepilot wrote: With the Flash, it's different. The Flash moves fast enough that you are a living statue to him. It is not possible to physically react to him at all, no matter how early you start. If the Force warned you early enough, you could get the hell off the planet, but that's about the only option.
Actually, this brings up an interesting point regarding precog and consecutive events. If the time between consecutive events is less than the reaction time or time needed for a Jedi to perform an action, then I could see precog failing to help. Once the Jedi is in a situation in which an opponent could perform consecutive actions with a time interval much shorter than the Jedi's reaction time, the Jedi is in trouble. Basically putting the Jedi in situtation in which they are forced to react with the same muscle / same body part to two very high rate actions.

I think the Jedi would have to recognize this well before hand using the precog and put themselves in a situation where it could not possibly happen (like leave the planet as Eframe suggests).

This might be possibly moot if Jedi can indeed move at lightspeed as Ender noted.

SWvsST. Read the beginning of the thread.

Aside from that being completely irrelevant to the current issue... precog does mean seeing something before it happens. :?

Borg cubes vs Death Star is relevant to this forum. Superman vs the entire SW universe is not, and it's also stupid for you to think that it's a slam-dunk for Superman.

So, "Prodigal Son", you claim to have answered every single real point. Therefore, if we go through the thread and find so much as a single point you didn't bother answering, will you concede that you lied?

If that is the sole bit of content in a response, then you are correct to take offense. However, I have seen very few posts in this thread that lack some sort of content. SDN does not restrict vulgarity, as long as it accompanies a point. That's something you'd get used to if you posted here often, or lurked.

The facts are already in evidence.

Fact: Jedi do have precog.

Fact: the matter that Jedi don't have precog doesn't work all the time is perfectly consistent with what we know about the Force.

Fact: Precog means PRECOG, meaning that they can tell where speedsters are GOING TO BE, even if they have to use misdirection to trick Flash into bisecting himself on a Jedi's lightsaber.

Fact: If this is low-power post-Crisis Supe's were talking about, then this is post-Crisis Flash, and post-Crisis Flash CAN'T run at C. Dumbass.

Fact: the challenge was being able to defeat any SW character, and Palpy-chan is not only a Dark Lord of the Sith, but he's also the Galactic Emperor, so he can bring weapons of massive mass destruction onto Supe's head. (This is DW's argument.)

Thank you for playing!
