This, to me, is the key distinction. The drones last 'nano or whatever second' adjustment is a response to the effects of the Jedis pre-cognition. If Jedi pre-cognition is allowed to account for the effects that the Jedi having the pre-cognition will have, you open the door for potential 'time travel grandfather' style paradoxes.
