Cordless mouse problem

Post by 2000AD »

Cordless mouse has just started acting funny. I've reconnected it to the reciever, moved the reciever and made sure everythings plugged in and it still wont work. I'll be able to move it a bit after reconnecting but the cursor is slow responding and laggy and clicking the mouse doesn't do anything.

Annoying thing is it's part of a set with a cordless keyboard and the keyboard works fine.

I only put the batteries in on the weekend so i doubt it's them.

Anyone any ideas about what it is?

Is there anything electromagnetic within a half foot of it?

I noticed a little signal strength deterioration with age on the cordless that I had. You could try repositioning the receiver a little closer to the mouse, that might help.

I started out with the reciever resting on top of the tower and it was working fine, since the problem has started i've moved it al over the place and it's still not working.

And age shouldn't be a problem given that i only bought it at the weekend

Ok it's working now. I re-installed the drivers and switched the USB port i was using.
