If I had to pick, probably the Sinatra-era's "The Best is Yet to Come".

Well... for the longest time, the song Nitram and I felt closest to was "One more Day" by Lonestar

That was back when he was traveling down to WV to see me, so the theme of wanting to spend just one more day really hit home.

Now? I've no clue.
Image
Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Wha? You must be a lurker. I'm gonna have to find out what that song is now

Edit: I just downloaded it and listened to it and I fail to see why one would chose this song for me. Just curious. Cause I don't even like dance type music. I'm into Rock and Alternative, I thought I portrayed that here :? .

What? I don't drink wine, that is what the song is about right? I confused

Edit: Bear! Lady Madonna? I hate The Beatles.. but of all of the songs mentioned this one is probably the best lyrics wise. Although I like Crimson Raine's suggestion better cause it fits with my type of music :) I LOVE OZZY!!

Now Ma, i think the music fits good it's all lullabyish, and it's cute!!

"with the feeling that I'm going to love you till the end of time"

And i thought it was better than my first instinctuiually choice. I thought "what song for Ma?" and the first thing that jumped in my mind was Rubber Ducky!

Mine.
EDIT: Well, I didn't write it. But it's my self-proclaimed theme song.

She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith
With her casual lies
And she'll only reveal
What she wants you to see
She hides like a child
But she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe you
And she'll take what you give her
As long as it's free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me

Oh, she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh, and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

And she'll promise you more than the Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you're bleeding
But she'll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
'Cause she's always a woman to me

Oh, she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh, and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

She is frequently kind
And she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She's nobody's fool
But she can't be convicted
She's earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
Hmmm

The Spaceballs Theme song.

Chardok- Fuck the Police
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

The Logical Song, by Supertramp

When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily,
joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,
logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
clinical, intellectual, cynical.

There are times when all the world's asleep,
the questions run too deep
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respecable, presentable, a vegtable!

At night, when all the world's asleep,
the questions run so deep
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.

Nitram finally admitted what he thought was the best song for me
Meredith Brooks wrote:I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a child, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed

I'm nothing in between
You know you wouldn't want it any other way....
I'm a bitch, I'm a tease
I'm a goddess on my knees
When you hurt, when you suffer
I'm your angel undercover
I've been numb, I'm revived
Can't say I'm not alive
You know I wouldn't want it any other way

Interesting thread.
For myself: Split Enz: Six months in a leaky boat.
or, depending on my mood: Im going slightly Mad, by Queen.
Of course its all mood dependent.
Others thoughts are welcome, because I am a bit subjective on this idea.
Via money Europe could become political in five years" "... the current communities should be completed by a Finance Common Market which would lead us to European economic unity. Only then would ... the mutual commitments make it fairly easy to produce the political union which is the goal"
