What would the Empire do if the Hulk showed up?

Post by Superman »

Let's say the Hulk appears out of nowhere on some Imperial planet. After going berzerk, he gets the attention of local Imperial magistrate.

How would they deal with him?

I'd send Palpatine in with his super-calming force powers. Then I'd tell Vader to come at him from behind and crush his insides.

Then I'd probably be executed for me insolence.

And shouldn't this be in OSF?

The Star Destroyer in orbit rotates forty-five degrees and drops a turbolaser bolt on him.

Are you sure a turbolaser bolt would kill the Hulk?

I believe so. The amount of power coming from them would smear him into a pile of green goo.

Now Wolverine on the other hand, would probably just get blown into a few pieces and still remain alive. Marvel seems to have this idea that, no matter what happens, he doesn't die.

Turbolaser blasts are far more powerful than nukes. I think it would take him out.

But its not like the Empire to be so sloppy. They'd probably try other things first, and when the Hulk smashes all their troops, resort to orbital bombardment.

Hulk has ludicrous regeneration abilities (Seconds to regrow most of his body), and can take a nuke point blank, still not much he can do against a barrage of Tereton blasts from orbit.
(Although I think he jumped into orbit to destroy an asteroid once, but that doesn't change anything).

The hulk once suvived(although K.O'd) being on the hull of a spacecraft as it entered hyperspace. Even the Silver Surfer who was with him at the time got knocked out. Thats pretty damn tough.

Or they could grab him with a Cap ship level tractor beam and throw him where they want to.

Tractor beam, get him into the air. Then find a way to incapacitate him and then it's time to do experiments.

Could the Hulks mind resist mind tricks and outright mind control?

Due to the fragmented nature of his mind, I'd say probably yes; the same thing gives Wolverine some protection against psychic attacks.

Another interesting thought... what if Hulk calms down enough to become Banner again? How would they take the sudden transformation?

Tranquilzers and stun bolts.

Then off to the Emperor's Sith Alchemy labs for him...

But each sector has a sizeable ISD fleet, and if the world was actually one anyone cared about, you could have a task force there in a few hours, at most

Does it matter? If an old transport ship has 200GT guns.... Most ships can deal him a TL blast.

I'm not sure if a tractor would do against him though. I recall reading that, fighting some alien dudes protected by a forcefield he 'grabbed' the forcefield and 'burst' it like a bomb. The actual wording was that it should have been impossible to grab the immaterial field like a solid thing, but he did somehow. I think the implication is he has some 'energy powers' he is unaware of, not a rediculous theory considering he's retarded.

But its unlikely that would be their first attempt anyway. They'd send stormies out first, he'd smash them. Try to blast him with heavier weapons, he'd smash them. Then they'd just probably go with the orbital bombardment route. This is the Empire, they really arent going to care enough to look for non-violent means to stop him, they'll just try and kill him with progressively larger weapons till they hit on enough firepower to vaporize him. Because they're weapons are lightyears more advanced than anything he's faced so far, eventually they'll turn him into a nice big molten crater.

That is one of the larger leaps of logic one can make.

Why TL him, when you can tractor him with something meant to pull something the minimum of the corvette in ANH and no loss of life.

The Empire is brutal but not fucking wasteful. After he deals with a few troopers it's more logical to use a means he cannot break free rather then wasting more people for something so small.

I dont intend to make some leap in logic Ghost Rider. Though you probably know more about the comics than me to say so or not, i just picked it up from this site:

http://www.gammabase.com/

I hope this link works, but it should show up the Powers page on the Hulk, i found it while looking around for some info on the Hulk's regenerative powers odly enough.

It may or may not be interpeting it correctly. I dont know enough about the older Hulk issues to say so i'm just putting it up in case someone else does.
