Vympel: You have any shots of when Anakin destroys the Hangar Shield generator? IIRC he uses what the ICS calls his "secondary ion canon" to blow it up. This would be conclusive (canon) evidence that Ion Canon can do physical damage would it not? Or would it override the ICS?

I wonder why Gree's lower leg armour was painted black? Perhaps to simulate officers' boots?

Ion cannons are plasma. Anakin's shots are green. there is no such thing as green plasma.

It appears that, while the image showed Anakin's starfighter, it described the typical ETA-2. It appears that Anakin swapped the ion cannons for additional laser cannons. Note that it also lacks Anakin's custom added torpedo launcher.

I did take some shots of it, but I agree with Ender that I think they're lasers. Still want em?

Based on Vympel's earlier post of Yoda's legion, it seems that all of them have dark shinplates and boots, compared to the rest of their armor.

Um, if Anakin's got a modified Eta-2, he was kind enough to modify Obi-Wan's the same way. Obi-Wan's fired green lasers from the "ion" cannons as they flew through the Vuture attack. Looked just like Anakins.

It's not too much of a stretch for Anakin to have modified his old Master's fighter in the same way he modified his own.

Although there's no green plasma, is it possible that "ion" cannons don't really shoot ions in the same way "laser" cannons aren't really lasers?

I don't see why ion cannons couldn't be green, but they are definately causing physical damage to the Invisible Hand in place of the known ion canon effect from ESB.

Hmm, if nobody told me otherwise, I'd just assume those were lasers Anakin was firing. I didn't know that Obi-Wan fired in that whole scene though.. guess I'll have to watch it again!

It's as Obi-Wan and Anakin with the ARC-170s backing them up engage the Vulture droids- you see them both fire a split second from the front as they fly past the camera, and then you see them firing from behind, destroying a few.
