Hope this isn't necromancy, but the folks who created this display were interviewed on the "Today Show" this morning. Some interesting details on how it's created and how long it takes to do and the like.

Okay, so I was wrong about the setup. It isn't nearly as extravagent as I thought it was, just a desktop and some extra hardware.
