A company of troops (100 in other words) armed with
this "experimental laser gun" from EXCEL SAGA

Versus an equal number of mecha.

The character fires the gun, and it blows the fuck out of a mountain

Uhm, how hard is it going to be when they're going up against a bunch
of 2 story high mecha? I mean, anyone can hit a barn at a mile, and these
guys can just hide in a house and shoot from the windows and wipe out
an entire company of mecha in one shot...-

Wait, hun? I had thought this was a company of troops vs. these people with the uber gun? There's no mention of mecha in your post. Never mind, having noticed the mecha part, the mecha get wiped out.

I haven't watched Excel Saga yet...but give the gun to Excel isn't she immortal or something? But yeah the 100 boys with laser pistols will easy take out any type of mecha I can think of.

Anyone here think we should chain Shep out in the backyard in sub-zero temperatures if he doesnt stop this anti-mech ranting? Its getting rather tiresome and predictable.

I'm seriously starting to wonder if he can be conditioned to start foaming rabidly at the mouth anytime someone mentions "mech."
