Trekkie Twats Harassing Chee

Post by Lord Poe »

Darkstar and his cling-ons are harassing Chee on sw.com:

++http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jspa? ... &start=525

Darkstar's cock-holder, "mike4ty4", who is "mike4" on ASVS, and had his ass kicked out of there more times than Paris Hilton has wiped cum out of her eyes, is busy preaching Darkstar's canon policy over there, and idiot boy has now joined him. He also crows about this on his "I Wanna Be Mike Wong" board:

DarkStar et. al get OWNED.
Tasty Taste wrote:GL is certainly not bound by the EU, though he's certainly open to using things created in it (Aayla Secura and the Coruscant name, for example). On the other hand, the quote you provide makes it sound like the EU is separate from George's vision of the Star Wars universe. It is not. The EU must follow certain tenets set by George through the films and other guidelines that he provides outside of the films.
Edit: I love the way DarkStar treats this statement as if it's some sort of a victory for him. I guess the fact that Chee's comments are completely consistent with what we've been saying but totally INconsistent with his canon policy is completely lost on him.

Someone please help me understand this...

How is the canon debate connected to the SW vs. ST debate? It's not like EU is necessary to show that the Empire would win. In fact, given the EU minimalism, sticking to the movies makes it worse for trekkies.

What am I missing here?

Go either to Poe's site, Mike's hate mail, look up Darkstar or read up stuff on his site about Robert Anderson's very UNIQUE view of what is canon.

The goal is basically to throw out all possible evidence, so that DarkStar can argue that things like the DS superlaser are merely isolated incidents that can only occur under special circumstances. The SW fleets can only maneuver well in gravity wells using repulsorlifts. The MCR effect is what REALLY destroyed Alderaan and not SW firepower. Seismic charges aren't that powerful--they can only destroy asteroids. It goes on like that. By excluding the EU entirely, DarkStar has an easier time pretending that what's left in the films can only occur under special circumstances and isn't representative of SW tech. He's also done things like argue that the SW "Galactic Empire" only covers a tiny portion of the Galaxy, which helps him argue that hyperdrives are slow, etc. etc. etc.

The less evidence there is, the more room there is for distorting the evidence that remains. That's RSA's modus operandi. It's the same reason that liars take quotes out of context: they want to remove the extra information that would help you understand what's really going on.

I think it's because the guidebooks (like the ICS) are considered EU, so those arguing Trek would win want to dismiss them. I for one think if we just use the G-Level canon SW still easily wins, but I guess it's the concept of "Wiggle room."

The rest of the EU (besides the Saxon written stuff) helps and hurts. I agree with the minimalism points. Those who love the EU obviously want to use it in their debates, and it's fun to show off your knowledge of the universe you're a geek of too I bet. ;)

The less you have to work with the less research you have to do. It's tough enough to watch all the hundreds of hours of Trek, without having to go with the hundreds of novels too (they're not canon). If the SW side had only to deal with 12+ hours of movies, the the radio dramas, the 6 screenplays and 6 novelisations, it'd be a lot less work to research the SW side for a vs. debate.

For me, a person who hasn't gone through every inch of the EU, I just gloss over those parts when reading some discussion for the most part, because I just have to trust that whomever is talking about it isn't misrepresenting that material. Some might argue that Trek has a stronger side because they have a larger library to draw from, but essentially it just helps to point out the weaknesses in Trek tech with repeated examples (since there's so much recycling in the B&B era especially). The smaller chunk of "filmed" SW material could help or hurt, depending on how you view those examples. It's either a strong showing or lots of "wiggle room" based on what we don't see.

fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1

Last time I checked the ICSs and ITWs were low-level Canon, Kurgan, not EU.

of course they are and I bet Kurgan knows that too, but Dorkstar and his kronies want pretend they're not canon so that they can dismiss them with the no-EU rule.

The EU IS low level canon. What's your point?

The EU is C-Level canon, as are the ICS's... the movies are G-level canon, but they're all canon.

The only distinction I'm making is between canon (Lucas's stuff and the EU) and non-canon (fan fics, infinities, stuff I just POOMA, etc).

Thanks. Nobody need jump down my throat about what I said, since it's accurate, and not what Darkstar is saying. He's basically saying G-Level is the only canon, and everything else is non-canon. So to him the ICS, and the Glove of Darth Vader are equivalent to fan fics.

PS: Wouldn't this fit better in SWvST?

This incident is definitive proof that Darkstar has done precisely what he has always accused me of doing: he has surrounded himself with sycophants who have reinforced his warped impression of reality.

Think about how deluded he must be in order to think that he could go onto the starwars.com forums and argue with the VIPs that they're wrong about canon policy. Just think about that for moment.

How much ball-sucking and rectum-licking have his little butt-buddies given him that he would actually think his bullshit would fly anywhere but his isolated little strek-v-swars petri dish?

That's a riot. He thinks WE'RE a bunch of sycophants? These forums have hundreds of active members, and over the years Mike has probably fought/debated/argued with most of them on one topic or another. (As tends to happen when a set of forums have more than one subject of interest.) Meanwhile Scooter has a whopping six people online at the moment. Only two of them are registered, and one of them is me. Subtract all the bored SD.netters, and his forum membership consists of a few grovelling ass-kissers whom you can count on the fingers of one hand.

EDIT: Rogue, I'm so posting that over on his forum!

You know, he's almost approaching harassment levels now.

Think, this is almost the Internet Equavilent of the point of walking into LucasFilm INC, bursting into offices and screaming at the employees.

To bad, besides booting him, there is not much they can do.

Like a nice gag order about discussing Star Wars in any way, shape or form.

This is AMAZING.
DarkStar, on his forum wrote:[Chee] seemed quite unaware of Lucas's opinion on Boba's death or Lucas's frequently-stated view regarding parallel universes. Indeed, one wonders if he's interacted with Lucas all that much.
But, of course, DarkStar interacts with Lucas all the time, as we shall see.
Working at Licensing doesn't confer on Chee some magical ability to have all relevant knowledge, Swede. He knows what he does and I'm sure he does it fabulously, but it doesn't mean he has psychic powers to know the minds of everyone there.
Of course, making a website does confer upon DarkStar all of this knowledge.
As for what a LFL policy would mean, I find this amusing. It would "mean" the same thing as Paramount's policy does regarding ST, just that it would apply to SW. Why is the existence of Paramount's policy comprehensible but the notion of an LFL policy considered off-the-wall?
Because, as Pablo Hidalgo pointed out, it's "one big company."
In any case, Lucas is the overall source for the 'LFL policy', so the issue of nomenclature isn't that relevant.
Why did you and your asstard cronies broach this subject to the VIP's if you knew all along that their opinions are irrelevant?
