Mario & Luigi 2 is l33t!

Post by Praxis »

I've got 12 hours in this game so far, and am loving it! This is definitely the most random game I've ever played. Between fighting a giant monster inside a giant mutated alien Yoshi's butt, and fighting l33tsp34king Hamm3r Broz...yeah, that's right.

Full quotes:
"AREA RESTRICTED. ALL NOOB INTRUDERS 2 B HAXORED BY US L33T HAMM3R BROZ.!

WE R TEH SHROOB ALLIES. WE ROXOR U AND THEN ROFL. THEN U AM CRY.

WE RECEIVE ORDERS THRU ANTENNAS ON THESE L33T HELMES. THEY R HOTNESS.

WE MUST OBEY ALL ORDERS. WE LIKE 2 PWN NOOBS 4 TEH MASTER SHROOBZORZ.

U = NOOBS. BROZ. = L33T. PREPARE 4 TOTAL PWNAGE. WOOT! WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!."

I highly recommend this game, great handheld RPG. :D Anyone else played it?

EDIT: Oh yeah, IGN gives it a 9.0 out of 10.

:wtf: Please tell me the 1337 speak is a joke.

The Hammer Bros are being mind controlled. When you break the helmets they thank you and ask, "Who talks like that, anyway?"

Yes, the l33t-speak is in the game. Just in that one scene though, fortunately. I think my head would have exploded if I had listened to any more.

Saw it on Gaia a week or three ago, but still nice to see that Nintendo's taking a jab at that sort of nonsense.
This has been another blunder by you friendly local idiot.

That's even better than The Great Gonzales. I must get this game.

Hmm, I enjoyed its predecessor on the GBA, it'll definitely be something I'll consider if we get a DS.

Oh, and Hammer Bros. rule. Always have, always will.

You'd be shit out of luck if you did. Thats a Nintendo DS game.

And I'm indeed it is enjoyable. I'm not sure if I like the Bros. Items instead of special abilities and flower points or not. Plus the badges aren't nearly as cool as Paper Mario 2. But yeah it is a great game, even if it has the absolute worst time travel mechanics ever.

Gah, typo...I did mean to write DS. A (used) GBA would probably be within my means...a DS is not.

1337-speak or not, I'm probably going to get it. I've had a DS for almost a year and Super Mario 64 DS is still the only game I have for it.
