You're talking about someone who argued that :
SW humans are born with necks made partially from metal to avoid admitting that SW medical tech may be better than it's ST equilevant.
His thought about the hurricane Katrina was to rave on his site about not getting a magazine that would let him selectively quote words from an interview with Lucas.

'Trekkie Twats' sounds like a snack from Little Debbie or Hostess. ;)
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
Someone asked me yesterday if Dracula met Saruman and there was a fight, who would win. I just looked at this man. What an idiotic thing to say. I mean really, it was half-witted. - Christopher Lee

This is 10 times worse than whatever RSA had done in the past: RSA schooling on LFL about canon policy for the sake that he could win the STvSW debate.

What's next? RSA vs. George Lucas?

By the end he was accusing a Pentecostal minister of trying to learn his identity for the purpose of conveying death threats.

How does one become quite as heavily emotionally invested in SW versus ST as RSA seems to have become? I mean, yes, you could point to Wong's site, but quite frankly, I've done some very impressively large things in a short course of time when I'm bored myself, so it isn't hard to believe Wong could have such a website well and made up without caring that much about things, but Darkstar is just crazy...

Do you want my honest guess? I think it comes from an empty personal life and a discrepancy between his self-image and his reality.

In other words, I suspect that he believed he was smart enough to be destined for great things in life when he was younger, but now he's a lonely failure who never got a degree and works a dead end job answering phones at a helpdesk. As a result of this disconnection between expectation and reality, he is hyper-defensive about his intellectual capacity, and as a result, he is incredibly stubborn about ever admitting he's wrong about anything, no matter how insignificant.

By going on the Internet and publically staking himself to a claim about ST beating SW many years ago, he committed himself to "proving" this claim no matter the cost, no matter how long it took or what he would have to do. Of course, there are plenty of stubborn and defensive people in this world, but most people have reasonably well-balanced lives and interests which keep them from becoming that invested in any particular refusal to admit error.

Which takes us right back to his empty social life; it is what enables this obsessive compulsion to prove that he was right when he first stormed onto the Internet many years ago. That's why he is still constantly pushing and fighting on this subject even though most observers have basically given up "SW vs ST" for dead and moved on.

Either that, he suffers from a complete lack of real life popularity/social contact, searched for it on line, and found it on the internet in the early 'vs times' with Star Trek/Star Wars fans

Then YOU come along and completely, utterly, ruthlessly destroy any and all hope of Star Trek winning by honest analysis. No popularity contests or anything. You are absolutely right, can prove it, and he is embarrassed, defeated, and along.

Just like in his real life.

It's not Star Wars he wants to beat, it's Mike. He knows he can't beat mike, so he attacks what mike beat him over/with.

Basically, Dorkstar is the guy that loses the girl to another guy, tries to kick the guys ass and fails, so he bugs other people connected to the guy in an attempt to get back at him.

Now he is claiming that his position is not that the EU is not part of canon and that Lucas Liscensing cannot speak for LFL. Interesting.

Lucas Liscensing cannot speak for LFL.
Then why did Lucasfilm bring it and all its other subsidiaries closer together a few months ago? This ain't some disowned child we're talking about here.

It was in 2003, and as Leland Chee told him: Licensing has always been under LFL, it was ILM and LucasArts that was brought closer into the fold (Chee started at LL in 2000). Darkstar responded by saying that Chee's statements contradicts those of Lucy Wilson (although of course he couldn't show how) and that his SW canon page on the corporate structure of LFL "isn't wrong, merely boring" despite being told otherwise.

EDIT: Oh, and one of the links that he has on his SW canon page goes to a page on the ILM site describing Lucasfilm Ltd. (the same page could be found at the LFL site as well). From that page he focuses on the sentence: Lucas Licensing, a Lucasfilm Ltd. company. while ignoring the introduction which precedes the presentations:
Lucasfilm Ltd. is one of the world's leading film and entertainment companies. Founded by George Lucas in 1971, it is a privately held, fully integrated entertainment company. In addition to its motion picture and television production operations, the company's global activities include Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, serving the digital needs of the entertainment industry for visual effects and audio post-production; LucasArts, a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software worldwide for video game console systems and PC; and Lucas Licensing, which manages the global merchandising activities for Lucasfilm's entertainment properties. Additionally, Lucas Online creates Internet-based content for Lucasfilm's entertainment properties and businesses. Lucasfilm's motion picture productions include five of the 20 biggest box-office hits of all time and have received 19 Oscars and 53 Academy Award nominations. Lucasfilm's television projects have won 12 Emmy Awards. Lucasfilm Ltd. is headquartered in San Rafael, Calif.
Emphasis mine.

As we've always said, RSA's worst enemy is himself. He has managed to destroy whatever last infinitesimal shred of credibility he might have had in the minds of viewers including Trekkies, thus leaving only the most pathetic and mindless SW haters to cling to him.

Lucas Licensing, a Lucasfilm Ltd. company
This is used as an argument against LL being part of Lucasfilm?

That ranks up there with McEwok (Arkady Hodge) "interpreting" ITW:OT's definition of SSDs as referring to non-Imperial ships, as being the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard.

Pfft. Who cares about that when you have the company employees flatly shutting him down and saying quite clearly that they're one big company, and that there is no mysterious, seperate, other, "Lucasfilm Ltd" canon policy.

I love the part where he tries to use his arsenal of out-of-context quotes in order to prove that he knows George Lucas' intentions better than people who have actually interacted with Mr. Lucas directly about this very subject.

I currently only have a passing interest in Darkstar's escapade but I have to ask. Is he using people's own quotes against them? The answer is most likely 'Yes', but I'd like to know for sure.

Its interesting how poorly his quotes actually back him up. The breakdown of different levels of 'canon' actually make his position weaker because having a level of canon implies that the thing in question, unless its stated that it is noncanon, is part of a level of validity inside the universe. You can't say one thing is absolute canon without implying that there is something less valid. If I'm not mistaken the ICS and such have been labled in the list as G level haven't they?

I think Chee said they were not G awhile back but C and sorry for causing confusion.
which category (C or G) the Incredible Cross-sections, Visual Dictionary and the Inside the Worlds belongs?

Theses books are treated no differently than any other books; anything created by the author would be C-level. I would guess that 95% of the text info in those books is created by the author or is based on information created by another author other than George Lucas.
So anything which is directly from the movies is G level last everything else (including weapon power I would think) would be C.

This is nothing new. He's been accusing Wayne Poe of making death threats for years because of a little bit of fiction Wayne once wrote.
