I picked a unoriginal name, but Chose the avatar of clan star adder as I thought the Battletech clans are very cool, I intially had Steel Viper for a while but I felt the Star adder was a better match for my name.

I gave the name of a random ISD for my location and my main sig came from the infamous stalin quote at the beginning of the bT book "bred for war".

Name: The shorter version of this story is that during a trip with some friends in high school, we played a big of Ouija and a spirit in the board named me Zaia (pronounced ZI-uh, with a long i, as in 'eye'). The spirit (nicknamed Q, in case you care) said that I was totally kickass, didn't need 'guardians' like everyone else and that spirits wrote poetry for me because I was so cool. (*shrug* Dunno, my friends were probably all on drugs--this happened when I wasn't even in the room!) Anyway, Zaia was more of a title and not a name, but I've sort of turned it into a name since then.

Avatar: She's a lovely lady by the name of Laika from the Tsunami Channel which Iggy so graciously found for me. I requested an adorable redhead, and he delivered. Thanks, handsome!

Sig: I try to change it often. Until today, it was a quote of Ando fumbling all over his words. I put it in my sig because it absolutely shit him that I did so.

Since then I've changed it to include a line from an Indigo Girl's song and now it has part of the bridge from "Title of the Song" by Da Vinci's Notebook (it's a hilarious boy-band-esque song that makes fun of boy-band songs). The 'femme fatale' part was something Ando said about me, and the rest of it is just the groups I belong to here.

Well, I guess I will start with my name.

First off that's how you usually have to make your name on microsoft's gaming zone. That's why it's like that here.
DG stands for Dark Guard. It's an Imperial clan or 'fleet' as we call it since it's roots started with X-Wing vs TIE Fighter.
Cal is short for Califerous. The name started on the AoL chatrooms for the room starwarsspacebattles. Where you basically chat room simmed naval battles. It was bad ass at times. Originally it was Cal Wright. Cal for Cal Ripken since he always shows up, and I usually have an outstanding attendence record. Wright for the Wright brothers in relation to flight.

Jedi Knight because I'm not a master yet. heh

The avatar was graciously given to me by Admiral Kanos/Lord Wong. I merely asked how to find and make and avatar of such and he just did it for me. Bad ass!

The location is the Super-Class Star Destroyer 'Blight'. This has actually been many different ships, but I settled on an SSD since commanders had thier own fleets in the Dark Guard.

The sigs are strange.

The first one is taken from Gundam Wing and reworded to the squadron later wing that I commanded in the Dark Guard.

Second one is a quote from Darkstar himself.

Last is in response to some poster here sort of whining about me using 'fucking' too many times in a post.

Name is just my middle name. I think it means something but I don't know what it is.

Avatar is a skaven. I have an interest in rats. I have made some additions for the holidays.

My signature is pretty dull. The quote comes from a poster in the background of couple episodes of 8-Bit Theatre. I thought it fit with the board atmosphere.
Next is self-explanatory. I don't read it very often, though.
Finally there's my VTM character.

I used to put my full name in my sig but I eventually decided I wasn't comfortable with it there.

Tsyroc is my name Cory S (middle initial) T (last initial) backwards. For some reason one of the guys I knew in the Navy got a kick out of saying people's names backwards. I guess that kind of stuck in my head.

My current avatar is a slightly moddified version of a Jade Mortal Kombat emblem. I ususually go by the blue ice version but went with the green (with red background) for the holidays.

Name: Slartibartfast, it's the name of a character in The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. He's in the business of building custom planets and has been frozen for millions of years after helping design Earth to wait until it was ready to answer the universal question (actually, to figure out the question that makes the answer mean anything)

He's embarassed by his name, btw.

Knife: This was the call sign that I used durring aggressing ops while I was an intructor at a CST school in the Corps.

Avatar: Was going to use a pic of Luke and Vader crossing sabers in RotJ, but the pic I had didn't work so I looked around for a simular one but couldn't find the one from RotJ I liked so went with the TESB scene instead.

My name is just a thing I pulled from an ancient MUD, called LambdaMOO. There was a creature you could fight in it called the Lag Monster, to reflect the popular fact that people often died in combat in that text-based online game because of lag. When I got into FPS's, I adopted it as my own name. It makes me happy when people die in Quake and type in, "No fair! I had lag!" and "I died because of that crappy lag."

My sig is a combination of a quote I wrote in a book of mine in college, a pimp activity for my favorite freeware multiplayer shooter game, and a comment that I though was particularly funny at the time, when on another group it was pointed out to me that I am often the last person to post in any thread, thus it was concluded that I commit threadicide.

Since Necronlord didn't like anything about my name, I will explain. It started when my cousin Ethan W Owens was born. He needed a nickname, so I started calling him Ewo. But then I moved so I haven't seen him in years but I still liked the name, so it was the name of my bad-ass genasi rogue.

Stravo is the name of a charcater in a sci fi novel I wrote that I'm trying to get published. He is not the hero of teh story but a major player. He is an assassin and the last of his race that is slowly realizing that he may hold the key to the answer of what precsiely happened to his people and the galaxy in the aftermath of a great war that changed everything. I thought the name imparted a sort of cold menace without being too stereotypicaly badass.

My avatar is ripped shirt Kirk form Arena, with some nice holiday cheer added by Stormbringer. Those who know me recognize that I beleive that James Kirk is one of teh graetest characters created in fiction and thus always has a special place in my heart (and in my current fanfic)

Sig line: The first is straight from Buckaroo Banzai, an funny little cult film that had quite a few throw away lines like this one.

Nova Andromeda -- Well back when the net was text based I simply went by Nova which was the name I used in flight sims and other games since I was exceptionally good at destroying stuff. Later on I had to make it more unique so I added the last name Andromeda. In the end though I give the name meaning not the other way around. You may also wish to note this is the femanine form and the masculine form is Novus Andromedus. However the using the femanine version keeps my gender rather anbiguous (women are always treated with more respect on the net than men and with even more respect if it is uncertain they are a woman).
Avatar -- The avatar is from Stellar Crisis http://sc.lugdunum.net:9130/ and is my Empire's avatar. One of my favorite strategies in that game is to anhilate entire systems...

BTW, I was born in the year of the Dragon and chinese blood flows though my veins.
Sig -- My sig. is just that ... my signature ... as in my name. I have no need for cute or witty sayings or pictures. They tend to clutter the board and usually aren't all that cute or witty anyhow.
