Scale difference also plays in, I believe.
One scale in D20, multiple different scales in WEG. DR comes in as part of the what would be the equivalent of scale change in D20.
The Excellent Prismatic Spray. For when you absolutely, positively must kill a motherfucker. Accept no substitutions. Contact a magician of the later Aeons for details. Some conditions may apply.

McEwok (Arkady Hodge) claims Rebels call some of their own ships "Super Star Destroyers" now. All in an attempt at denying Imperial Star Cruisers that are bigger than their Star Destroyers.

He also says that since designations and classifications-systems can change, we shouldn't treat SW designations as absolute. And then goes on whoring the WEG-based system like always.

See the idiocy, live:

Btw, Gauntlet-class Star Cruiser is a patchwork explanation I've done for the Allegiance type ships, using all available quotes and sources. But of course, the discussion veered off and now I consider McDouchebag a non-existent person. I'm simply going to ignore his very existence from now on, or at least refer to him in third person. =P

The worst part about McEwok (Arkady Hodge) is that even West End Games doesn't agree with him. It's true, WEG has commited a horrendous amount of errors in the past. However, we've all been too hard on it. A decade ago, WEG already explained that Star Destroyers weren't actually cruisers, and that the whole warship scale had to be loosened to fit them in. McEwok (Arkady Hodge) is like a fucking fundie, and WEG is his bible. He picks and chooses the parts he likes to believe in, and won't change his mind about things no matter how much evidence there is against him.

The ironic thing about all this, is that I've grown to like 'SSD' as a term, but mainly because it's integrateable with the RL-inspired terms Saxton got into canon.

Star Destroyers:
Star Frigates
Star Destroyers
Super Star Destroyers:
Star Cruisers
Star Battlecruisers
Star Battleships:
Star Dreadnoughts

Hell, tere's a line in Vector Prime that deals with it. 3PO is talking about scales, and mentions two of them and hints at many more.

I'd like a quote of that, even though I hardly give a shit now. Would do nicely in the as-of-yet locked topic.
