Multiple Wireless Mice

Post by 2000AD »

I just realised that when i go home i'm going t have 2 PC's using wireless mice in clsoe proximity (and one will have a wireless keyboard too). Are the recievers going to pick up the signal from the wrong mouse? Will it cause any compications?

Are they different brands of wireless mice, or identical?

Depends on the model. If it is bluetooth (any model) it will probably work painlessly, however with radio it really depends on the model...

It's certainly possible fot them to interfere with each other, but pretty much impossible to predict if they will or not unless we've got someone else on the board who's done the exact same as you.

So,...

1) what's the make and model of these wireless devices?

and

2) exactly how close proximity are we talking about here?

Careful positioning will work wonders by the way, you *should* only need to keep a distance of ~6ft to remove any appreciable interference (assuming they don't play nice with each other in the first place). So, even if there is a problem, a little creative movement of the two computers should solve it.

One is a Logitech and the keyboard and orther mouse are Genius, the genius stuff having a joint reciever for them.

The computers are going to be sharing the same desk, but i should be able to put the recievers at least 6ft away from each other.
