I only asked about the shipsets because the one I'd picked to go with my empire wasn't on the list of shipsets on the site. No big deal.
You can upload it to the PBW website, the one I want to use isn't there either. I'm e-mailing the shipset creator as a courtesy before uploading it though.

I just picked a different one that was there. I decided I liked them better anyway. Pity the mechanoid races aren't ready yet. There are some nifty robotic looking races. Anyway, thanks for the swift re-approval to the game.

Who's playing anyway? I know we had a number of people ready to play a B5 mod game, but what about now? Tux is the only one I remember being in favor of an Adamant mod game that hasn't signed up yet. Is Eleas playing or is our hijack of his thread total?

I joined up. Looks like we could still use some more people, though.

Sorry, I'm not really interested in playing this mod just yet; I was looking forward to the B5 mod so I'm out of this one for the time being.

Same here. I was looking forward to deploying the Leonov - er, I mean, the Agamemnon - in the defense of Earth.

Meh, worry not. In this thread I got all the information I needed and more, so I have no further use for it. *drops thread into a volcano*

Now we have to decide whether Adamant with 4 players is preferable to B5 with 6. I'm OK either way.

I would join you, but I fear my unfamiliarity with SEIV will hand me a swift defeat, which is, all things considered, not really what I'm looking for. :)

Besides, from the images I've seen of SEV, it almost turned me off SEIV, cause the difference is that staggering.

I don't believe that any of us are very well versed in the ins-and-outs of the Adamant mod. That should level the playing field. Also, multiplayer games will teach you strategies and techniques that one player games won't. Heck, I've already learned a bunch from the ST mod game. Human players will try things that the AI never will.

I've played it for... two hours, and I feel that's not really enough. Also, I lack the time. Sorry. :(

Hrm. With such a strong interest in B5 Mod.. hrm. we could try it, with 'medium' tech to start, several home worlds for each player, and research cost set to 'low'? I THINK there may even be a PBW trait we can take.

I'm up for whatever. 4 players really isn't very many. Personally, I'd rather play the B5 mod and have 6+ than play Adamant with 4, even though Adamant is the superior mod IMO.

Okay np, someone make the B5 game and I'll join up. I'll trash the adamant mod game if everybody agrees it's a waste, unless people want to play both games.

Quick Q, can my mate use my copy of SEIV Gold or does he have to pick up the new one?

He can use it; my sister installed from my disk. There's no online activation or anything, but I think you have to give him the CD key...

He should be able to use yours. You don't need the CD to be in the drive to play the game.

Whee! Finally on winter break! I think I'll join the B5 mod game if nobody minds having someone who's barely seen the show play (why must the DVDs be so expensive!?). I have some experience with the mod, so it's only RPing where I'll be a bit ignorant.

Whatever depths of ignorance you sink to in the RP, you'll find I'm already right there with you. :)

I'll probably get around it by simply not posting in the RP thread very much, if there is one.

Hmm. Looks like it might be tricky to do 5k racial points without editing anything. All the included .emp files seem to be based on 2k.

Cool, thanks, Tux. :)

Anybody have a recommendation on a race? I usually play as the EA, Mimbari, or a First Ones race and those are all either taken or we've decided they're off limits for this game.

Right, I wasn't sure if it would block multiple empires with the same CD-Key or similar.

Given how long I had to wait for Gold to get to Australia, I don't want to delay the game that long.

Oh and umm, he kinda wants to be the Vorlons. He's huge for the RP angle of it, though now that I think about it if the Vorlons in our B5 mod game played like the ones in the series (no colonisation/expansion, only fight the Shadows and even then only when things escalate), they'd need a Shadow player to fight or they'd be kind of pointless.
