Ok, so...not sure what happened, but Firefox crashed on itself somehow and when I tried to reopen the browser, I got this message saying something akin to "That username is already in use." So I made up a new one and now I can't go back to my original browser setting. How do I get it back?

Are you using a Linux machine or a Windows box?

Kill any and every firefox related process, It's usually Firefox.exe and firefox-bin.exe. Sometimes there are still firefox related processes running in the background.

Yes, it is. Worst case you can just copy the files from your old profile to the new and it should be fine.
