No but Inquisitor Eisenhorn would think just that (I mean my god...what the hell would any of them do against that...aside from piss in their pants)

I'm inclined to think that Blade would kill Buffy rather quickly and efficiently. Buffy never uses guns, and Blade's hand-to-hand seems much crisper. Though, Buffy can take a lot more punishment than Blade can, and she also appears to be stronger. But, all Blade needs to do is whip out a nifty gadget and she's history. Buffy relies too heavily on medieval weaponry.

For Christ's sake, I don't see what's wrong with just plugging a vampire a few times so he's writhing in pain, and then stabbing him. Why bother fighting? On the other hand, where are all the redneck vampires? Or Mafia vampires? You know, the ones with artillery at their disposal.

Oh....you still think this is a Verses Debate...News flash, it isn't

this is a "who's better at what they do" debate, which you think can be solved by a mere fight to the death.

But, yes, in a verses fight against two gun-weilding psycho's, she'd most likely be taken out early.

But, THIS ISN'T A VERSES DEBATE! This is more of a "Who would I hire" scenario.

Or, has it been turned into a verses debate simply because were so used to seeing them?

In that case, let me say this:

Armed:
Blade wins

Unarmed:
Buffy wins

On second thoughts I wouldn't hire Eisenhorn. Anyone who goes near him ends up horribly dead.

Isn't that a basis of versus...since you would want to hire whom would be more capable?

As for saying this isn't a versus is pointless gesture since it still is, just not on a single basis of hand to hand or long range combat but a collection of whether or not their skills are up to snuff.

So you would chose Buffy, so why the fuck did you say they underestimate her...so the other people prefer Blade or Ash...do that make their opinions on whom they would hire wrong?

Their are many kinds of verses, this one happens to be a job application, not a true fight to the death...but...

So, you'd hire the winner of a fight between them.

Eh, Who am I to comment.

as for the Underestimating Buffy, look at the earlier posts, and look at other posts where Buffy is mentioned, you'll notice that the majority of the posters don't give her any credit.
Blade followed by Ash with Buffy trailing far behind.

BLADE.

But Ash wins through Attitude.

Buffy will be ass raped within seconds of fighting either, then sold to a Taiwanese whorehouse.

Buffy gets sliced and diced. Then, Blade wins thanks to his better swordfighting ability, although he walks away with an injury from Ash's shotgun.

Ash and Blade would own Buffy. They don't even have to fight, just look at her with "the look" and she would just be owned. As for Ash vs Blade, I give it to Ash just because luck (of some sort anyways) seems to favor Ash.
That's actually most of them. at any rate, you see what I mean, and that's only in this topic.

So they don't like Buffy?!

This is somehow PROOF AGAINST BLADE OR ASH?!! :?

My fucking God, I might as well say because A bunch of rabid trekkies don't accept Wars could spank trek in a heartbeat, obviously an ISD captain will underestimate the entire Federation enter combat with his shields down.

Do you see what you are doing or are you trying to see how much of fallacy you can pile on.

The three combatants are not going to follow what a bunch of poster think they should unless said poster is the end all judge of those three.

Considering that they were all talking about a fight to the death, instead of the scenario stated. I'm going to have to agree with them. Buffy would be taken out by the two gun weilders.

Still, you don't acknowledge the actual topic at hand. it isn't about the fight, it never was, it was who can kick the most demon ass.

We're just so used to fighting scenarios that we tend to knee jerk them.

Blade still wins, but Buffy is no longer analy rapped (ah, anal rapage...)

(and...why are we still talking about this?)

Oh, who would I hire? Sorry, didn't realize.

Anyway, definitely the Buff-maiden, for she brings her hot friends Willow and Anya with her, as well as her coming-of-age sister, Dawn. I'm pretty sure that Buffy's list of slain enemies is a lot more impressive as well, and she's died twice (three times?), and come back each time. You know a broad's good when death doesn't stop her.

No. To quote yourself later in the same post:

She has tried to use guns, and failed. Either she refuses or she is unable to learn, it doesn't matter. Not that it hurts the argument at all. No firearms for Buffy.

I'm referring to the Rocket Launchers she's used in "Innocence" and "Him", respectivly.

They count as fire-arms, don't they?

(How do I know this? I AM the Resident Buffy Fanatic afterall)

Being able to point a rocket launcher at a large, unmoving demon does not grant Buffy the ability to hit moving targets with a Glock. Granted, she may be able to learn fast, but she has never used small arms in combat to my recollection, and I've seen every episode.

Right, she actually hates small arms, but she has...oh, wait...willow uses the tranq-rifle most of the time. but Buffy was fully prepared to fire it...I think...I'm gonna have to re-watch a few eps (well, when I can...damnit, the Season 3 DVD doesn't come out till january!). And I do not know how well aiming a crossbow does to aiming a gun (and she's a REAL good shot with one), but it can't be THAT far off...of course, I'm probably wrong on that point.

I was under the impression that the only reason the tranq-rifle was used was to subdue Oz. There really wasn't another way to deliver a dart.

And firing a gun is different than firing a crossbow. She may pick it up real fast, but she wouldn't be as good as Blade who has trained with it for years, assuming the movie version.
