48 Mk. 33s?
Hell, let's just throw in a small Culture fleet and the Capital D for orbital fire support while we're at it. Let's see how we can best shave off those miniscule fractions of a nanosecond for the fastest total victory ever.

24 Mk.33s
That's the smallest unit you'd probably come across w/ them invading...

24 Mk.33s is still a powerful force. Results are still the same.Beowulf wrote:OK... maybe it's a bit over powered...Hotfoot wrote:48 Mk. 33s?

One Bolo would be sufficient. The T-90 Hind swarm was already going to kick the mecha ass.

But as I said that just the anti-personell weapons.SylasGaunt wrote:Of course the smallest guns on the Bolo are 25 megawatt lasers and railguns that shotgun out 500 DU slivers at three kilometers/sec the mecha are still screwed.
On the other hand the Bolos could still just never both entering the city.. Fuel-Air explosives aren't nuclear after all
Mind you the Bolo's would still find time to run some historical simulations, compose poetry, and such while taking their time and artfully decimating the Opposing force.

Joy! the Mecha fanboy has shown up!SAMAS wrote:To take on a Bolo, I would use:

Exactly how well do MS stand up against multi-megaton level particle cannon?
And also... Crunch... no mech can stand up to being run-over by a 32000 ton tank...

Devil Colony Gundam is an Asteriod sized Hentai abonimation, it uses nano tech to repair & rebuild it's self. Don't think it can survive the level of fire power that a bolo with full nuke payload can dish out.

20mt/sec each for Primary Hellbores
5mt/sec for Hellbore Infante Repeaters (Actually 50kt/shot for the Hellbore Infinate Repeaters they just fire a lot)
The Anti-Personell batteries, can take out today's MBT's

Actually the last guy was right, it's 5 Megatons/sec on most variants and the HCT variant has an enhanced version rated at 6 megatons/sec
Infinite repeaters are rated at 400 kilotons/sec (250 kilotons/shot on the HCT variant)
Then there's the 240 cm. Howitzers (with a fire rate of 2 rounds/sec) and the mortars, VLS missile systems, and point defense.

The Turn A and Devil Colony Gudams stay out of the area. They don't HAVE to be there. Moonlight Butterfly has a world-wide effect, and Neo Japan is in orbit.Beowulf wrote:Joy! the Mecha fanboy has shown up!SAMAS wrote:To take on a Bolo, I would use:

Gunbuster was at Ground Zero of a Galaxy-Busting bomb.
Jehuty and Anubis are too fast to be hit, and could possibly take the hits anyway.

And the Bolo can fire into orbit so the DCG still isn't safe.SAMAS wrote: The Turn A and Devil Colony Gudams stay out of the area. They don't HAVE to be there. Moonlight Butterfly has a world-wide effect, and Neo Japan is in orbit.
What are you basing THIS on? Nothing we see in the games shows this to be the case at all.Jehuty and Anubis are too fast to be hit, and could possibly take the hits anyway.

SDGR suddenly finds itself turned into a paperweight by an EMP from the Bolo (unless you have some proof it's EMP resistant)Darth_Shinji wrote:This is a unfair matchup. But if you want to play the wanking game.....
Shin Dragon Getta Robo would mad rape all Bolo's in exsistence. Lets see you prove that Bolo's can take GT level firepower.
Or failing that it just takes remotely links in and takes the sucker over.

How far into orbit? And can it keep the fire up long enough, even though it also has to worry about attacks from the others?

In one scene, they show Jehuty and Anubis fighting each other in mid-teleport.

Lowest number I've seen is 50,000 kilometers (it was plinking buildings on a moon), highest is at a couple light seconds.SAMAS wrote: How far into orbit? And can it keep the fire up long enough, even though it also has to worry about attacks from the others?
And? Fighting inside a vector trap does not = high speed combat outside one, and we've seen the speeds Jehuty fights at, and no human pilot's got the reaction time to dodge a hellbore round at the range they'll have to close to in order to engage. The Tokyo Game Show movie at http://www.konamijpn.com/products/zoe2/ ... index.html
