It has already been decided that a Mole of anything is MORE then enough to destroy a DS. The sheer numbers mean they can RAM THEM UNTIL THEY GIVE UP!

Heck, a Mole of Roger Youngs (Starship Troopers) can even destroy a DS.

I'm NOT going to argue this topic. But are yous serious about that?

A mole of shuttles.

1 shuttle down/second implies that the shuttles would be destroyed in.. 2e16 years..

entire kinetic energy, for 10 tons /shuttle at 0.1 light speed = 3e42 J..

What are the shield numbers for both Death Stars?

Oh and as for shielding numbers its said in one of the Esstional Guides I belive that the DS could Surive 1 1/2 hits from its own weapon
But that might just be WAG no idea to be honset

Anyway may I point out that a Mole of Shuttles would be enough Mass for a Star Sized object to impoud and thus form a Black-Hole?

Are the shuttles coming in all at once or a few thousand at a time? If it's the second, then the DS's shield recharge rate may keep up with the damage being done to the shields. If it's the first, the shuttles will probably win.

I did it for a single ship to have an estimate. To kill 10 thousand ships/second, the death star would only need.. 2e12 years

This thread is totally ridiculous and obviously not worth talking about. There is nothing in any universe that can withstand that many shuttles. Note that this is more than 60,220,000,000,000,000,000,000 shuttle craft.

BTW, for those of you who don't know what a mole is, it is the number of atoms required for the mass of a substance in grams to be equal to the atomic mass of the element. It is also the number of gaseous particles in about 22.2 liters of gas at STP. It is a ludicrously high number that is used by scientists (especially chemists) to simplify calculations, especially when balancing reactions and buying chemicals. It is kind of treated in the same way as a dozen eggs. Eggs come in a dozen. Atoms and molecules are generally measured in moles.

BTW, seeing as how the answer to this question is ludicrously obvious and there is no real discussion of value taking place here, thread closed.
