OK - due the lack of full names I had to make some substitutions and additions, the current crew as of mission #1:

Bombadier - Ryan Crierie (Shep)
Navigator - Brad Carletti (GuppyShark)
Pilot - Mike Wong (Darth Wong)
Co-Pilot - Rob Dalton (Dalton)
Top Turret - Anders Russell (WeeMadAndo)
Radio Operator - David Harris (Darth David)
Ball Turret - Colin Witz (Yosemite)
Left Waist Gunner - Doug Robison (DesertFly)
Right Waist Gunner - Ian Relihan (Noble Ire)
Tail Gunner - Dorian Kratsas (Vympel)

Reserves:
Mark Harris (Sylas Gaunt)
John Doe (Sea Skimmer)
John Doe (Exonerate)
Martin Doe (Nitram)
John Doe (brianeyci)
John Doe (Thirdfain)

And our plane, "Luscious Leia"

Mission 1:
Brest Harbour with Brest U-Boat base as alternate.

Apparently the Bomb Damage Estimate was "low", had a shit angle of approach and tried to lay out the ships in harbour and follow up with the waterside warehouses and fuel oil storage.

From the mission, the squadron lost one bomber. And we had some injuries on our plane, the flak was only moderate, but it was pretty accurate.

SSgt Witz - Severe Wound - Purple Heart received.
SSgt Relihan - Severe Wound - Purple Heart received.
TSgt Harris - Severe Wound - Purple Heart received.
2nd Lt Wong - Flesh Wound - Purple Heart received.

if there's room put me in reserve too, My real life name is Sampo Paalanen

you'll just have make up some reason why a Finn (Finland was fighting Soviet Union during this time) would be part of the crew (a recent immigrant perhaps)

I'll be a reservist, too, so long as I don't have to be the ball turret gunner. That thing's a death trap.

BTW, my name is Mark Stevenson

Reservist?

Sign up Reservist #4539872. Preferably navigator or radio operator, but, hell, I'll take the ball turret since everyone else hates it. Brandon Langlois.

Reservist Steve Kissinger reporting for duty. Anything but ball turret (I'm too large to fit).

Reserve, if you need some more. Put me down as "Eduardo III" if that fits in the name box.

...

No, that's not my name. But I occaisionally sign it to things that aren't official forms. So that should count.

Hmm, given the number of applicants, I might have to start running a squadron level campaign and give everyone a bomber of their own. See who makes the full 30 missions then!

The game is B-17 The Mighty Eighth, you can download a demo (30minutes limit - not really worth it) or the intro movie (really worth a look) from 3dGamers.com.

psh, all you not naming your bombers after women will have bad luck!

That being said, I'd like to request a bomber of my own, if we're going to do that.
