High-density RAM uses few numbers of large-capacity chips. For example, 256MB SDR SDRAM SODIMMs can come in high-density (8x32MB) or low-density (16x16MB) configurations.

It is not really a concern today.

My motherboard isn't even a year old, and I found an ebay listing of 72 sticks of 1024mb high density RAM, being sold individually, for a Buy It Now price of $52. The seller has a rating of 19360 with 99.6% positive feedback.

Try this It may be a bit more expensive, but it'll also be a lot more reliable. I wouldn't buy memory off of ebay, especially if it's something you're not sure about.

It's a good value, but usually stuff from ebay at that price is refurbished. I'd go for something new, out of the box. My best tech support experience has, oddly enough, been with Kingston. It's basically a risk, are you willing to take it, knowing that you could be wasting 52 bucks? Up to you. Me, I'd perfer retail.
