Yes, that's exactly the way it looked: one big almost-unreadable paragraph filled with nonsense. Isn't it funny how people like this actually think they're smart? From: Darth Picard <vanderjack04@aol.com>

i read your crap about enterprise vs slave one. that is the biggest bunch of bull ever. you cant make up fake facts about trek and wars only lucas?supershadow and pairamont can make those kind of laws. you state the wars ships can travel across space faster there is no eveidence of that. havent you seen anyother movies that travel over a long period of time. look at castaway with tom hanks that guy was on that island for sevan years in a 2 1/2 hour movie. think about it. the empire dosn't control all the planets in their galaxy so even if they did travel across their impire in short time doesnt mean they travel far acros the galaxy. plus you said something about a guy saying that aldrean was a ticking atom bomb he is somewhat right. i would agree that the death star canon is more powerful than the enterprise but if you watched the epesiod with data's mom you can see that the enterprise could blow up a planet as well. they change the atmosphere of a planet by heating up the core with a low phaser setting if they used full power it would only take a limited time. you estemation for shields is also crap. why if the wars shields are so strong then how do little fliers fly right threw them. the only time i remember a ship flying threw the shields of a ship wasnt even threw the shields but threw a gap in the shields made during a phase shift or something when insent roe took the masque ship to transport medicale supplies. even if their shields could with stand a limiated amount of weapons fire it wouldnt take long for data to recalabrate a photon or quantom torpedo to go threw the shields the way a fighter would and distroy the bridge witch in the case of the super star destroyer makes it lose all ability to do anything. next i also agree with the guy who talked about the astroids around geunois i dont now what there made up of it never says but you cant rest you case on sismic charges. if all else fails there is no eveidance saying that there is no way to trasport threw wars shields either. they cant block out fighters. they could fly a shuttle or runabout with a away team sneak around to the power sources or bridge and blow them up.(you cant say that is imposable because luke and han ran all over the daeth star the most advance ship(moving station) in the empire. there are at least to more proofs that enterprise d could destroy a star destroyer or super star desrtoryer. you pay enogh attinshion to trek you will see that about every other episode they use thier deflector dish to generate some crazy puls or whatnot to do a job it wouldnt take long for georgdi or data or wesley crushier to figure something out to tear a wars ship to pieces. last thing is the on thing that wars could never block or do any thing about is the Picard monuver i am sure if you got some idea about what trek is you should no what i am talking about if you have no clue then my agrument is already over. well it is apity to see a man such as your self get off you computer and talk to your family after reading this proof. i wouldn;t want to be one of your children nowing my dad got told. good day

Is he saying that the distance traveled is in direct relation to the length of a movie or to Tom Hank or to a castaway on an island .avent you seen anyother movies that travel over a long period of time. look at castaway with tom hanks that guy was on that island for sevan years in a 2 1/2 hour movie
I think he means Trek here.... hard to guess but he was talking aboutthe only time i remember a ship flying threw the shields of a ship wasnt even threw the shields but threw a gap in the shields made during a phase shift or something when insent roe took the masque ship to transport medicale supplies
Before.why if the wars shields are so strong then how do little fliers fly right threw them.
Either dyslexic or he's changing subjects in mid - that's the reason Trek betas WArs , and because of that you toopid .you cant say that is imposable because luke and han ran all over the daeth star the most advance ship(moving station) in the empire.
He seems to be using plenty of "trekkie" tactics copy pasted out of the main site
.
I have to say, it's amazing how so many genius's who find logic faults in the main site are so incredibly intelligent that they invent new laws of grammar in mid sentence, truly, this person most be a true idiot savant.
Or just an idiot.
Out of curiosity, do you reply to most of the illiterate's unreadable e-mails Mr.Wong or do you only do it with slightly more readable e-mail, or do you just ignore it with a minority of exceptions nowadays?

*** Fear the power of the Deus Ex Machina ! It conquers all !
* The Enterprise didn't "heat the core", in fact, they never even suggested doing so. Their plan was to use the phasers to drill a few kilometers below the surface :I read your crap about Enterprise versus Slave I. That is the biggest bunch of bull ever. You cannot make up facts about Trek and Wars, only Lucas, SuperShadow and Paramount can make those kinds of laws.
You state the Wars ships can travel across space faster, but there is no evidence of that. Haven't you seen any other movie that portrays a long period of time ? Look at Castaway with Tom Hanks, that man was on an island for seven years, all in a two-and-a-half hour movie. Think about it.
The Empire doesn't control all the planets in their galaxy, so even if they did travel across their territory in a short time, it doesn't mean they've travelled across a significant portion of the galaxy itself.
You also mentioned someone who said Alderaan was a ticking atomic (time ?) bomb; he is somewhat right. I would agree that the Death Star superlaser is more powerful then the Enterprise, but if you watched Inheritance, you would have seen that the Enterprise can destroy a planet too. They can modify the atmosphere of a planet by heating up it's core* with low-powered phaser beams; if they used full power, (destroying the planet) would only take a short time.
Your estimates for shields are also crap. If the Wars shields are so strong, why do small ships fly right through them ? The only time I recall a ship flying through the shields of another vessel, it did not even pass through the shields themselves but through a gap created by a phase shift, when Ensign Ro transported medical supplies aboard a Maquis raider (during Preemptive Strike)**. Even if Wars shields could withstand a limited amount of weapons fire, it wouldn't take long for Data to recalibrate a photon or quantum torpedo to go through the shields the way a fighter would and destroy the bridge, which in the case of an SSD would make it lose all control.
Next, I also agree with the person who discussed the Geonosis asteroids. I do not know what material they are made of, as it was never stated, but you cannot base your conclusions on seismic charges.
If all else fails, there is no evidence that states there is no way to transport through Wars shields either. They cannot block fighters. One could fly a shuttle or runabout carrying an away team through the shields, stealthily move toward the reactor or bridge, and blow them up (you cannot say it is impossible, because Luke and Han ran all over the first Death Star, which was at the time the most advanced ship (mobile station) in the Empire).
There are at least two more pieces of evidence that prove the Enterprise could destroy an ISD or SSD. If you pay enough attention to Trek you would see that virtually every other episode, the deflector dish is used to generate some type of outlandish pulse or whatnot to solve a problem; it wouldn't take long for Geordi, Data or Wesley to figure out a way to tear a Wars ship to pieces.***
Finally, there is one tactic that Wars could not block or defend itself against, the Picard Manoeuvre. I'm sure that if you are familiar with Trek you would know what I am talking about, if you do not, then my argument is over. It is a pity to see a man such as yourself step away from his computer and face his family after reading this evidence. I would not want to be one of your children knowing my father got told (?).
Good day.

JULIANA
A few kilometers, why?
** I don't know where he got this "phase shift" idea. Ro simply said she knew of a weak spot in the Enterprise's shields :DATA
The procedure would involve using
our ship's phasers to drill down
through the planet's surface and
into the pockets -- where we would
set up a series of plasma infusion
units.
RO
The Enterprise shields have a weak
point... When the ship is at
impulse, the thrust destabilizes
the shield configuration right at
this point.
On the MONITOR, Ro indicates a graphic of the
Enterprise, and a point directly behind the main
impulse engines, between the nacelles.
RO
(continuing)
I'm going to try to punch through
there.

Yes, just look at "quantom" and "estemation", people who spell poorly still spell consistently. "Aldrean" can't possibly be a real misspelling. He tried too hard, should have just put in the ideas without the bad spelling (but with the big block of textTM since that's trademark of idiots).Bounty wrote:That, and the odd mixture of relatively decent spelling in some places combined with an utter inability to properly those words that draw attention. It feels real to me; take "Aldrean", for instance: he probably thought it was spelled "Alderan", and was typing too quickly -- like typing "teh" instead of "the". Other instances of his phonetic spelling: monuver, attinshion, threw, puls, to name a few. If he is, for example, a middle-schooler, who is still learning how to spell (at my school, we took spelling tests through the seventh grade), he may have learned "estimation" ends with a -tion, and not realized "attention" ends the same way; that would only further indicate his stupidity.brianeyci wrote:Yes, just look at "quantom" and "estemation", people who spell poorly still spell consistently. A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

I'm actually not sure what to make of it either, just pointing out that there are a few indications that DW's dealing with a troll rather then a real retard. I mean, come on, referring to Supershadow as a reliable source ? Referring to DW's family, something that to the best of my knowledge didn't come up on the main site's tech pages and has to be something he researched ?It feels real to me
"Estemation" and "Quantom" should have been "Estemation" and "Quantem" or "Estomation" and "Quantom" if he was consistent. Anyway my spelling in Grade 1 was better than this. Also you're wrong about the phonetic spelling. "Attention" has "ten" in it and "tin" does not sound like "ten" so it's an obvious fake. Also "dre" like Dr. Dre does not sound like "der". Either this is someone typing really fast in leet or someone trolling and I bet on the latter. You'd have to be in kindergarten to fuck up that badly.Surlethe wrote:It feels real to me; take "Aldrean", for instance: he probably thought it was spelled "Alderan", and was typing too quickly -- like typing "teh" instead of "the". I don't disagree; so was mine. Reading his words phonetically, though, it sounds like he has a deep hickish southern accent.brianeyci wrote:"Estemation" and "Quantom" should have been "Estemation" and "Quantem" or "Estomation" and "Quantom" if he was consistent. "Tin" doesn't sound like "ten" in your part of the continent; someone with a heavy southern accent, though, would pronounce "ten" like "teyin", which is pretty close to "tin". It's like someone from southern Indiana writing "wash" as "warsh"; you wouldn't believe it, but that's actually how people pronounce words down there. Also you're wrong about the phonetic spelling. "Attention" has "ten" in it and "tin" does not sound like "ten" so it's an obvious fake.
I was thinking he was typing this quickly, like a middle schooler might; "the" becomes "teh", and so on. It would also explain his lack of capitalization. Also "dre" like Dr. Dre does not sound like "der". Either this is someone typing really fast in leet or someone trolling and I bet on the latter. You'd have to be in kindergarten to fuck up that badly.

I've seen spelling this bad before, although it was coming from 4th graders. The inconsistency is hardly proof of trolling; I've seen plenty of examples of similar behaviour from young children: they start learning rules but they don't consistently apply them.
However, it seems doubtful that such a young child would be so arrogant as to pick a fight with an adult, unless he's being badly homeschooled. We had another semi-literate rural homeschooler once who had similarly awful spelling, and who turned out to be a real person who was even mentioned in a news article about homeschooling.

Maybe. I mean, he might have read DW's family page as well as the main site -- there is a link on the gateway page, after all. Supershadow, though? Mr. Wong, I sincerely thank you for warning me about the dangers of homeschooling. When I have children, I will remember to put them in public schools, because for all the faults of the American education system, it's still a better choice than for me to delude myself into thinking I have the time and energy to educate children myself.Darth Wong wrote:I've seen spelling this bad before, although it was coming from 4th graders. That said, I don't fault the guy for his bad spelling, as I make similar mistakes sometimes. I do fault him for not running his letter through a spelling and grammar check, a common tool in word processing programs. At the very least, using the tool would make him seem smarter by five IQ points-- not that it matters, as an IQ of 95 is still considered below average.
