In my debate with a Trekkie he has resorted to using Darkstar's site, naturally I linked him to the rebuttal of it, but he claimed that it stated that Saxton admitted all his calculations were wrong. What is he talking about, and is there any truth to this claim at all? I doubt it since it's coming from DS but still.

If he's claiming it, he has to back it up with a credible source. Don't let him get away with stating it authoritatively; instead, make him provide the evidence in the form of a quote.

That whole page stems on his veiw of the cannon policy of Star Wars. It add no new information other than the Slave One's cannons can be dialed down to E-web firepower levels for anti-personel use. other that that its just RSA repeating his silly claims of knowing more about Star Wars than THE PEOPLE PAID to know about Star Wars policies.

In short it can be over looked, Unless you are willing to beleive Boba would fire weapons of that yeild in that close of a proximity to his 'father'

If they're attempting to use this as proof of Slave 1 having low power, then they're full of shit. We know that most weapons have varying firepower levels, the RotS ICS specifically states that turbolasers have seven settings, and blaster weapons have demonstrated similar variability throughout the movies and written sources. Secondly, the ship was just powering up as well. So to assume that this was a max power shot is rediculous, especially as was pointed out, Jango is on the same platform as Obi-Wan. Also, we also see Slave 1 effortlessly fragmenting asteroids in orbit of Geonosis, which supports kiloton level shots. However, I guarantee you that if you bring this up, the person you're debating will then start going on about how "we don't know the composition of the asteroid" or some such similar bullshit. I believe Darkstar has done the same in the past, as have others.

How does that help him? Is he so stupid to believe the guns of Slave I would drain after only a few shots at anything approaching that power level, when the midship guns can effortlessly fragment asteroids and were fired non-stop for ages when chasing Obi-Wan?

The guy's obviously an idiot. Clearly, the guns only firing a few low powered shots shows that Boba likely didn't give the guns time to charge. The fact that the cells were drained hurts, not helps, his position, and is one of Darkstar's tailor-made-for-idiots-without-critical-thinking arguments.

I find it laughable that he still thinks he knows more about the Lucasfilm Canon Policy than Lucasfilm. Even Chee he writes off as 'being Lucas Licensing' and hence not 'Lucasfilm' since that way he can put his fingers in his ears and pretent that he is not saying plainly that this veiws are not company policy. Oh well. Lets place him on the bridge with his arms and legs cut off and ignore him.

It's getting truely pathetic now. In recent weeks he's been owned in debates by Lucas's employees and IIRC on TBBS by Paramount employees. How he has an credability with the ST community is a mystery to me. He's been told his ideas on canon are flat wrong buy one of the guys paid to decide canon and still he keeps trucking. The guy keeps going in a maner that makes the energiser bunny look like a quitter.
