Heck, I just found it through looking up "battlestar galactica ranks" on Google, hopping to Wiki, and linking to the blog. Nothing to it .Srynerson wrote:I surrender to your SciFi.com-Fu.The Dark wrote:I decided to look it up, and Moore's blog places Admiral as the highest rank, so Cain'd still have seniority over Adama.Srynerson wrote: At least in real life navies the rank of Grand or Fleet Admiral is superior:

I hope Adama has the insight to have his own soldiers guarding him especially when Cain's own detachment will be there.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

The big difference:
Adama : "Shoot Caine"
Caine : "Terminal Adama's command, starting with Adama"
In other words, Caine wants the ENTIRE CHAIN OF COMMAND for the Galactica killed.

Next week's spoilers: The one that Caine is cursing has injured wrists. It's the Six.

I actually missed that because I was typing as that scene came up .LadyTevar wrote:Next week's spoilers: The one that Caine is cursing has injured wrists. It's the Six.

BSG and BSP are moments away from shooting each other and their airwings are playing chicken with each other. Lee is relieved of piloting duties and opens an IM session with Starbuck.Ender wrote:recap please, my roommate nabbed the TV to watch Cinderalla Man
Starbuck, aboard the Blackbird, takes pretty pictures of the Cylon resurrection ship. She jumps back, is misidentified as a Raider and manages to stop the impeding civil war.
Aboard Colonial One, Adama and Cain agree to postpone the execution.
Baltar is slowly rehabilitating Pegasus-Six and determines what the resurrection ship does via his interrogation.
Tigh gets Fisk drunk and makes him spill the beans about what happened to BSP's civilian fleet. There were fifteen ships; Cain stripped them for parts, took the useful people and shot the families of anyone who resisted.
For her mission success, Starbuck is promoted to Captain and becomes CAG of BSP's airgroup. She plans the strike mission on the Resurrection ship and its escorts.
Helo and Tyrol have a heart-to-heart about Boomer. Helo tells Tyrol to let go.
Adama and Cain plot to kill each other after the Cylons get blown up.

About time. Basically Tyrol is hung up on his ex's twin sister if you think about it. They look alike, but they are seperate people.phongn wrote: Helo and Tyrol have a heart-to-heart about Boomer. Helo tells Tyrol to let go.

And the BSG writing staff once again demostrate the proper way to do a cliff hanger!
I loved the "happy hunting" scene between Fisk and Kara in preview for next week's episode. Kara's tone tells you she knows what Fisk's mission is. Damn, can this show get any better?

I wonder how the basestars will fare against the battlestars. Basestars don't appear to be built for slugging matches, but for lobbing missiles and fighters at the enemy.

Pride in his ship methinks was talking there. I figure both ships serve the same function of carrier/battleship, with Pegasus having a significant edge in firepower and defenses, but, with a sharp commander (which Adama is) and some luck, maybe Galactica would have a chance.InnocentBystander wrote:I'm thinking about what Adama said about the fight, was his quip "don't be so sure" just him being macho, or did he really think that the Galactica could win? Is Galactica, perhaps, better equipped to fight than the pegasus (more of a Battleship) in a slug match? Is the Pegasus more of a carrier than a cruiser? I wonder...
Not so sure Fisk is up to the task of executing Adama. Even if drunk he's twice leaked some negative scuttlebutt on Cain to Tigh. Also, keep in mind it was Fisk who told Tigh that Helo and Tyrol were going to be executed. Here's to hoping he won't go through with it. Him and Laird are the two people from Pegasus I like.
