Old, read the series and he would still be punked by Santa Claus every year

The OE is nothing compared to a lump of coal  .

However I do agree to that he is more dangerous and intimidating than Thanos, despite his fall over recent years into Jobberside (although he isn't in bad a shape as Thanos was pre Starlin clone retconning).

Ah well, here's another cool scene from issue 2, which has been the cause of non stop feuding over comic boards since that fateful day :P

Yeah, I have the whole thing too. You forgot to show the outcome of that hit.

People can feud all they want. The truth hurts the fanboy.

I love how he says it might have been his hardest fight... all four captions of it. Thor had his hammer caught in mid swing, and was K.O.'d in 2 or 3 hits. Thor's tough by Marvel standards, but he's no Superman.

One thing about that though, why did Cap give his shield to Superman? Isn't Supes' own invulnerability even more resistant than it? Even if that's not the case, Cap is also human; why would he give up his defense to the toughest guy on the team?

Excuse me? I'm a Superman fanboy, I was sure that page had "The dials go up to 11" here.
Also the part after that [the second half of the page] has the Avengers gang banging Superman :x .
Also while Superman is undoubtably above Thor stats wise, his magic hammer should be a killer advnatga against Superman, if Thor had the brains to use it  (He would still be Speedblitzed).

Also, here is the rest of that page which you didn't include and I didn't scan:
Image, due to the travesty of Superman being group raped by the other avengers before Aquaman helps him. I didn't want to show this but you forced me to disprove you, you Superman hater
 :P

That part where Superman gets his ass handed to him by the Avengers is one of my favorite parts of that story. 8)
Also, check out Heracles' mace when they're beating on him. He's hitting him so hard the damn thing is breaking.

I meant the truth hurts the THOR fanboy (Superman knocking him out). My point was that people can debate all they want, Thor would lose against Superman.

By the way Death, what did you think I meant?

Shouldn't Superman be vulnerable to Mjolnir's mystical properties?

Yeah, having the whole avengers ganging up againt a greatly weakened Superman. What an achievement. I'd like to see them try that again with a fully healed Superman.

Should we also assume that Superman's statement means Thor > Doomsday?

Superman is vulnerable to magic just like anyone else is vulnerable to it. All that means is that his invulnerability doesn't work against it. He's still going to have his offensive powers.
Should we also assume that Superman's statement means Thor > Doomsday?
When did Thor and Doomsday go at it?

At any rate, one thing about Superman is that he rarely goes into a fight without holding back. When he initially fought Doomsday, it took him a couple of rounds to take his gloves off.

They didn't, but since Superman said Thor may be his single toughest opponent, I'd assume that means he's even tougher than Doomsday was.

So Thor pwnz Doomsday?

I could care less about the circumstances, I just enjoy it when the King of Wank gets beat up. :P

I just like it that the Avengers admit that the JLA were more powerful than they were. :)

One question though, did Superman hold back when he fought against Thor?

That was actually mentioned a couple of times throughout the book, by both sides. And for what it's worth, they also mentioned that Marvel Earth is actually smaller than DC Earth.
One question though, did Superman hold back when he fought against Thor?
I would assume he didn't, given what he said about the fight. Since he was also hit by Thor's hammer earlier, he knew what Thor could do.

That Thor would beat Superman, and that I was a Thor fanboy trying to misquote the scene.

One question though, did Superman hold back when he fought against Thor?
Arguable, but Superman has a previous staement of going all out only against Doomsday [full power punches], and probably against Darkside who is masively superior to Superman.
Thor would have possibly gotten "real" punches but Superman was not fighting at his best- no super speed, heat vision, freeze breathe, flight advantage etc' .
I could care less about the circumstances, I just enjoy it when the King of Wank gets beat up.
I hate to disullude you, but Marvel has a tier above top, with many charatcers who would beat or even Pwn superman handily, and guys above that [Skyfathers, Celestials etc.]

Actually, Superman did give Thor a blast of heat vision right before he caught his hammer and made him eat dirt. Superman wasn't using his full range of powers though; Thor still hit him once or twice. Had Supes been moving at superspeed, Thor wouldn't have even seen him coming.
