Cult of Vin Diesel: While it is well known that James Earl Jones performed the voice of Darth Vader, it is less appreciated that Vin Diesel performs the voice of James Earl Jones.

Keevan_Colton wrote:This song is just beatiful, the work on the Demons and Wizards stuff in general is just great, right now I'm on a bit of a D&W kick with my nice shiney copy of the new album (which I actually bought, they're that damn good ;)) "Touched by the Crimson King", which I'm still getting shivers off of right now...but I'm not including because it's early days yet to see if that reaction lasts.
I've heard that album, it's pretty sweet. And the cover of the Immigrant Song is a lot better than I'd anticipated.

As for songs that make me shiver a little:

Chingon - Malaguena Salerosa
Blind Guardian - An Then There Was Silence
Manowar - Call To Arms
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist

"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

Schism - Tool -Most Tool songs tend to have a long, gradual buildup and then an explosive, emotional...explosion? (Heh, see what happens to my vocabulary after not posting for a while?) This is one of those songs.
You Lied - Tool -A cover of Peach, I beleive. Again with an *amazing* buildup leading to a musical orgasm of sorts.
Hurt - Nine Inch Nails
3 Libras - A Perfect Circle
Mutter - Rammstein
Disarm - Smashing Pumpkins -As much as I don't like his voice, this song is beautiful.
Passenger - Deftones ft. Maynard James Keenan

For me it's more classical music that gives me shivers:

1492 Conquest of Paradise - Vangelis
Ride of the Valkries - Wagner
Nessun Dorma - Puccini
1812 Overture - Tchaikovsky
Jupiter - Holst (The music for the Rugby Union theme - The World In Union)
O Fortuna - Orff (Music from the 'Its a big add' by Carlton Draught)
Marcus Aurelius: ...the Swedish S-tank; the exception is made mostly because the Swedes insisted really hard that it is a tank rather than a tank destroyer or assault gun
Ilya Muromets: And now I have this image of a massive, stern-looking Swede staring down a bunch of military nerds. "It's a tank." "Uh, yes Sir. Please don't hurt us."

Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima by Krzysztof Penderecki. From the very first notes, I felt chilled. I could hear all the screams across the burning city.

Nearly anything by the Red Army Choir - I recently heard them doing an awesome version of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" (oh the irony), complete with an awesome canon section...

That's the guy who does soundscapes of a sort, right? I think I've heard that one - fucking crazy.

I'm not sure if I'd call all his stuff soundscapes, but he certainly doesn't hesitate to use more modern techniques to achieve the sounds he's looking for. You could certainly apply the term "soundscape" for this piece, though.

Fate - Theme of Vile (Weil) from Rockman Zero 4 - Physis, definitely. It's this really ominous tune with a heavy drum track, and has this 'oh snap you are doomed' feel to it.
