Calculations to what!? Blowing up 40m rocks!? The page gives the Phasers full Watt strength, and gives hand held phasers there full Watt strength. The only thing it does not say is Megaton range for Photon and Quantum Torpedoes.

Ah it sees yet cannot learn.

All he gives is what any fanboy of trek could do in an hour after looking at tech manuals. He gives vague reference to everything and basically regurgitates Technobabble...

Are you still gonna keep this up or are you going to provide something with substance?

This shows the info for Star Trek's real Phasers, not made up figures! :D
Referencing your own site, just like DarkStar. How cute.

The only number given on that page is megawatt, inreference to a hand phaser. Totally irrelevent to the debate.

If canon info does not work, I dont know what will, maybe 2+2=4 will work, you do seem to be interested in only calculation! Even if Star Wars.com says something other than your own calculations, you ignore it. You think I am dumb? That is just plain retarted!

Wow, thats kinda like Star Destroyer.net. At least the Star Trek: The Magazine is an official Canon source of info.
No it isn't, dumbass.

My bad, I see the 5 MW now, sorry.

Course a single LTL shot would be 2.09^14 Megajoules, and if you convert it over to watts, it is 3.135^15 Megawatts.

3,135,000,000,000,000 > 5

Funny thing Sovereign, this site give a higher number then that.

So where in SW.com has said the ICS is wrong or come up with calculations?

Oh wait...it doesn't.

But you so want it too much like dumbstar you have fabricated it in your mind...damn.

No, you are dumb. The tech manuals are not canon or official. SW.com has never refuted our calculations, to the best of my knowledge, and even if it has it is merely official and not canon.

I must have missed the part where www.starwars.com listed a single figure for weapons power. Link please.

Course we do have given numbers, numbers far higher then the ones presented on the main site.

Near as I can tell, there isn't a single calculation on your site other than the ludicrously easy and frivolous KE calculation (if I didn't know better, I'd say that the site was designed for people without any grasp of science).

Oh my GOD Star Trek has megawatt weapons. Those are piddly compared with Imperial weapons. Do you have a relevent point, or are you just existing?

It gets better: check out the page on the Romulans, it's pulled straight from the Starfleet Command PC game instruction book.

Sov, I highly recommend a good hard look at the Paramount canon policy for Star Trek: only the shows themselves are canon sources. No novels, magazines, tech manuals, or any of the games are considered "canon." So, the information on that site is inadmissible.

P.S. - to forestall the inevitable "that's not fair," it's *Paramount's* policy. You don't like it, go to the company website and email them.

Sov: Wars can win, trek has weapons in the MegaWatts.

The Sane: That figures wrong.

Sov: But their 5 Megawatts, yeah you heard me Megawatts.

The Sane: Lets say those figures are wrong, that means the weakest weapons on a ISD are 627,000,000,000,000 times stronger.

Sov: But their PHASERS, and have 5 megawatts of power.

You see, the thing with Sovie here, is he doesn't understand what NUMBERS mean, maybe he doesn't even know they exsist. He is a prime example of the name game, it doesn't matter what numbers we put up against him, in his world they mean nothing, all that matters is that he likes Trek.

You still don't get it do you? Technobabble is MADE-UP MEANINGLESS JIBBERISH. Thats why its WORTHLESS. Its in canon episodes but its IMPOSSIBLE TO ANALYZE ANY OF IT.
If Geordi reports that "they have a phase modulated graviton resonation in the secondary plasma conduit decreasing the nominal efficiency of the subspace field coil which could disrupt the anti-phase containment vessels" what does any of that MEAN? NOTHING.

All you've ever quoted from SW.com is that turbo lasers are plasma. SO WHAT. You NEVER have realized WHY quantities are CRUCIAL in these debates.

Allow me to give you a real life example: a 1 gram pebble and a 1000 kg boulder are both rocks. A typical person could easily shrug off the pebble being dropped on his head from 0.1 meters up. Do you HONESTLY think that this fact means you could survive the 1000 kg rock being dropped on your head? Even though they are the exact same type of attack and they are both rocks?

WHAT PART OF THIS DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?

That does it. Anyone want to start a thread nominating Sovereign for a 'custom' title. VI or worse?

OK the nomination thread is up.

Sovereign, this is your last chance to defend yourself and prove your innocence. Make the most of it.

About my analogy in my last post. I think that Sovereign is proof that someone could survive a 1000 kg boulder being dropped on his head.

Hmm.. I se no reason to send in ISDs vs bioships.

Fighters will do. Or just corvettes. They have enough firepower to kill bioships and and are much more disposable than Star Destroyers. Even if they are lost, they make it well worth it.

With one Star Destroyer churned out per seven minutes at the height of the Empire, it shouldn't take long to manufacture enough small ships to destroy millions of bioships.

I think I'll just stay clear of this debate from now on.

Don't act like millions of bioships are a given. This is part of the well-knwon trekkie tactic of assuming that if they do not know the limit of something, then it must be infinity

Oh, I don't. I'm just pointing out that even if they were right, they would still lose.
