Sean Bean is one of the only men I'd turn gay for. :D I was very pleased to hear he is in TESIV. Combined with Patrick Stewart and others, there should be some great voice acting in this game on top of everything else.

Because my computer is total shit. It barely runs Windows anymore, let alone a game as pretty as Oblivion.
That's not the game's fault. However, they're at least making a good effort to reach people with older machines. Can't ask for much more than that.
I didn't say it was. I'm just explaining why I'd choose the X360 version over the PC. I'm not going to plunk down $1500 so I can play one game.

1280x720 is enough. Hell, I never seriously played PC games beyond 1024x768 even when I was able to. Unless you have your nose stuck to the screen, the law of diminishing returns starts to kick in hard as resolutions go up, as most things don't stay on screen long enough for you to notice the extra detail that higher resolutions afford.

And the X360 controller is the best on earth. Playing Morrowind with the mouse, and flailing it around like a spastic to produce largely similar attacks was an excercise in armache. If I wanted armache, I'd be browsing for porn, it's more rewarding.
Ah, spoken like a man who has never played a game at resolutions beyond 1080p! I have a 42" HDTV (LCD Projection) with a 5.1 surround sound, also 100 watts per channel. For 1080p source material, the monitor kicks the shit out of the TV; the monitor, BTW, costed about $1300 less than the TV. Now, this might be a different story if I had the thousands upon thousands to get a true 1080p TV, but I don't.

The computer also has surround sound, with an X-Fi chip. While the computer speakers are a little less than half as powerful as the home theater speakers, they sound just about as good.

I can't stand console controllers. I don't like the feel at all. The mouse is very sensitive, and only slight wrist movements are needed. I guess you just used a shitty mouse, or had it on horrible surface, or both.

As for the mods, Morrowind had some good ones. My favorites where items and retexture packs (especially Better Bodies).

But enough the console vs PC debate. We could be here all-day debating it. Only the release of the game can decide if either platform has a clear advantage over the other (and the devs had stated that both will look and play the same, controllers aside).
Artillery. Its what's for dinner.

If you havn't tried any other mods, you missed out, massively.

There are huge amounts of mods, and many of them are very very good additions to the game. There are too many I like to count, but my favorite graphical enhancement to Morrowind is the 'Fantasy Color Mod'. It basically removes the drab colorset and replaces it with something much more colorful and interesting, without being overbearing.

Yes off the top of my head...

1. Giants! The latest greatest edition adds over 147 new creatures from wandering bandits to dragons to vampires(Near some citys at night.)

2. Marksmenship mod. With the additon of around fourty new bows and about a dozen diffrent arrow-types plus make your own arrows lets you play Morrowind like a FPS(An arrow drivin FPS.)

3. Darwin Mod: Makes wild animals act like animals, Creatures(Inculding cliff-racers) act like you'd expect reals ones to act. Diseased and plauged creatures are much more likley to attack but Cliff-racers don't touch you unless you approch them or jump/fly past them.

4. Magicbalance:Lets you acutaly make useful end-game spells and balances point cost so you don't have to pay 79 mana to just cast a waterwalking with a mild regen for five seconds. Also makes getting around easier with a few traval spells like the three mile spell(Last's fifty seconds and gives you 400 jump with 1 slowfall so you can jump to near the top of one of the Cantons of Vivic and still take no damage. Or in traval mode leap from mountain to mountain.)
